Which court battle would that be? I just posted a government statement saying they were going to look at medical in 5 years...there is no argument much less a court challenge. If government wants to take my license in 5 years, they'll have to pay the courts as I've already won an injunction. Not gonna happen though. In 5 years cannabis will be as accepted as booze for rec use and have hundreds of more studies proving it's health benefits.
They stated they'll keep it going up to 5 years not 5 years then look at it.

I don't need or want hundreds, but I'm pretty confident I'll keep my 49 plants for life. I would just move my garden 'underground' if they ever tried to take it and thousands of others will do the same. We'll see how it goes, but I suspect laws will relax rather quickly and will mirror those of booze.
They won't have the resources to be investigating unless you're an idiot about it. If you stay under the radar (don't sell) won't be any different than now, maybe easier to blend into all the noise. After a while it won't matter, it'll just become the norm.
No court can reason harsher punishment for legal Cannabis than illegal Cannabis if the objective is personal use. It just won't happen that there is ultra punishment for personal cultivation without distribution.
Only if you are growing for large scale sales or supplying kids. Anything else will be a fine. I've managed just fine under prohibition even before I was medical, so I'm not too worried about regulations. Just don't sell without a license and you'll be fine.
Who is going to be looking in your house to see if you are making extracts or to run dna tests on a plant? Not gonna happen. The 100cm rule was tossed many months ago - there is no limit on the size of plants. I thinks you are getting all worked up over nothing.
