Does anyone know what reflector i need for one of these 300watt dual CFL's & where to get one? I found some on ebay but they only come in a set with the bulb, im looking the reflector on its own.

cheers

I got the 300w from basement lighting. I used to use a 600w HPS but i decided to try the cfl's and split my plants into 3 flowering sections 3 weeks apart so i get a harvest more frequently instead of growing one monster from beginning to end.

I didnt expect too much from the CFL but was extremely surprised as they flower much the same as the hps plants did. The difference in the plants are that they took a little longer to veg (125w blue) but they looked healthy and stronger than HPS plants.

I know that HPS is better for buds but i am happy to stay with CFL's especially the 300w. oly problem is they get a bit hot so i have a fan for each light blowing on the bulb which solves the only problem i have in my areas.

Was it the dual spectrum 300 watt cfl you got?

That's what I got from basement lightning. I currently have 4 small chronic and a larger grapefrut plant under there. i was wondering whether i should invest in another 125watt blue to add when vegging and then switch that second light to a 125watt red during flowering, to add to the 150 watt od each spectrum i have currently.

Another thing I wondered was what way to have the bulb for optimum spread of a given spectrum. Is it best to have the spectrum your using pointing to the reflector or to the plants?

At the moment while veging the blue tubes are pointing towards the plants and the red tubes are pointing to the reflector, the reflector is hanging from the ceiling with the plants hoisted up within 2-3 inches from the cfl with vhs cases.

I know i have too many plants under there at the moment but do you guys reckon you can get decent enough results from 2-3 good sized plants with just the 300 watt (actual wattage) dual spectrum cfl and reflector from basement lightning?
