seeling with 3 leaves?

all seeds i have seen have 2 leaves on each side at first, just got one with 3. Anybody seen this or know what it is?

well i gotta bump this. so when the seed cracks and pushes the shell off there are usually 2 leaves, then the 2 fan leaves etc.. but 3?

ya there are a few threads on this deformation. usually end up being hermie or male i heard. grow it out if its female, grab those genes. it look sumthin like this?

have pics? its not as rare as you'd think, I've seen lots of people have this and other similar things(craziest one so far is when this one guy came in and showed us pics and the fan leave stems on the top few sets actually had new growth points in the middle of the fan leaves stem. which i didnt think was even possible) grow it out and see what it does.

dude wtf? ...dont confuse tha guy!, first of all, if only the current set of leaves are "3 fingered" than its most likely js a slight mutation..and if not, your a lucky fuck!..haha
,because little does he knoe..tha sex of tha plant isnt restricted to be only male or hermie..it has tha same amount of chance to be a female as any other unfeminised seed..the strain of the pic that he put up is called duck-feet. n despite its unusual appearence, it is quite potent, n one of the best strains ive smoked in a while!..i had some last month n it was off tha chain!!!

well i have one of them plants they are like this becuase they have a 3N chroms not 2N like a normal plant this is kinda rare but common at the same time

I think the term is "triploid", I'm not sure.

I have one now that's grown over triple the size of all other plants... I'm really hopings it's female but I have a feeling it isn't

Yep "TRIPLOID" is the term for this deformity....I had one a few grows back....a lowryder 2....that WAS a female eventually. It actually grew about the same as other lr2 fems at the time with no difference to its sisters...except for being bushier because of triplets at every level instead of twins ..do a search for the term and you should find other threads about triploid.....

Ya triploid is the term. You know on DOOM how there that extra chromosome that either makes you god or evil?(not good, god) Well this plant has extra chromosomes..instead of making 2 sets of leaves it accidentally has a whole additional set of instructions for another set.

Its not predetermined to hermie or be male...I had a female, and most of the threads ive seen were female..This isnt because its predetermined female, but the mutation has no affect on the gender selection, and most of us probably use feminised.

Some people will try to tell you its called a poly or a polyploid...they are just trying to look smart...poly means a plant with more than one leaf set per node..

SIMPLY:

NAME: Triploid
DEFECT: 3 sets of chromosomes per cell. (Instead of the usual 2 for cannabis)

NEED TO KNOW:
Nothing...grow it exactly the same as the others. If it remains triploid and female it will yield 33.3% more bud.
