Seeking help

Hello all. I am wondering if anyone can answer a question of mine. I have a slight case of scoliosis, and was also born with inverted hips. For a good portion of my early childhood i wore a brace. Now i suffer from severe lower back and hip pain. I cant stand for too long or sit/ lay certain ways etc. I was wondering what it would take for myself to aquire a card and where would i go to get one, although i do not have any recent records of scoliosis up until around 2006-07. Hey Tofer. You should bring together all of your paperwork and organize it for your doctor. If your doctor does not want to prescribe medical marijuana, which most don't so far in RI, there are a few consultants that will do it for 300-400$. Check out www.ripatients.org and all your questions will be answered.

Avoid ripac. They mean well but its a clusterfuck

I need to get my paperwork and payment budgeted. And take that advice straight to 11th state consultants! The sooner the better...

It's understandable but I just don't think people understand how it all works. RIPAC is free,...they aren't rich and dont have some big, well paid staff. They try to interview and match people up (caregivers with patients) as best they can but the people who get involved like to hold them personally accountable any time that relationship goes awry. I think that's asking too much. People get matched with a bad caregiver and want to blame ripac. They become bitter and all the name calling and accusations of getting caregiver kickbacks comes into play and next thing you know, everyone wants to meet at the monkey bars for recess and fight. I just avoid the whole scene and communicate with the culture through f/b. It seems to have weeded (no pun,lol) out the majority of undesirables for us.

Ive just never heard of one good thing..And the 1 time i did speak to Joanne i got no help or info at all..Seemed like she just woke up and didn't wanna be bothered..Just my experience.

I'm not sure if I understand if you are saying you have new records begining from 06-07 until now... or old records exsist from then going back.

Also not sure of your current doctor situation, insurance, etc... we are all different. However I do know of a friendly doctor who is well regarded in the field of spine research, therapy, etc. The father of a life long friend of mine had a bad accident and the doctor that the hospital randomly paired him with after his surgery actually reccomded it to him.
