Anyone have a review or any grow experience with Seeedsman's Afghani #1? I'm ordering their regular seed with hopes of getting at least one good female and maybe a male to cross pollinate another strain for seed stock. Any info will be greatly appreciated. :leaf:

I would imagine its from the same landrace stock that all the other seed companies use. Out of ten pack you should have no problem finding a keeper male and female. May not be the best, but hey thats why we can sex em up with other keepers and make them better!

Growing this strain now, overall i am very happy with the little gem i found in a 10 pack of these seeds
just into my first batch of clones, i wasn't really intending to keep this strain it was more of a space filler, as i had other more expensive genetics in the room on my seed run
i found most of these afghani plants useless and removed all of them apart from 1 as they seemed so slow to grow once in flower, they were just taking up space that other plants could fill much quicker including a few sativa doms , the 1 afghani that i did keep grew slow at first but started to speed up around week 5 of flower overall i gave the final seed plant 9 weeks the yield was ok not great but not too bad either, the stone is very powerful very heavy indica stone as advertised it will put you out
the smell and taste a nice surprise overall, many times smoking this weed it taste as i am smoking hash the taste is very strong and a pure hash flavor/ smell
i normally remove all the tiny leaves from most strains before i smoke the bud i find even these tiny leaves spoil the flavor but with this i dont need to do that as the hash flavor is very strong even with the tiny leaves left on the bud
this was enough to make me rejuvenate the plant at the end of its cycle to save it for the clones i am now growing ... good luck with this strain hope you find a keeper :leaf:

i don't have a grow diary for the Afghanis but i did do one a while back for some sweet tooth i can add some pics there of the afganis or post them here

i have a 6 seedsman Afghani clones in flower now that i took from a rejuvenated seed plant just before Christmas they are at week 4 ill take a few pics when they fatten up a bit and look more interesting they have started to grow faster now over the last few days they do not have as much visible resin as some do at this stage but they do have a very oily greasy feel to them when you slightly brush against them .. they let out a nice sweet hash smell, with hints of coffee n chocolate orange overall so far they are quite a low odour strain, no cat pissy skunky weed smell at all, just a loveley sweet hash although this may change when the resin builds up, as it will do in later weeks, the seed plant i finished at Christmas the buds ended up with a very nice resin coating although the leaves themselves didnt show much resin, i am really looking forward to smoking these plants as i said before i really didnt expect to get something i would like so much from a cheaper strain .. the only fault i can really find with it, is its initial flowering and growth is a bit slow compared to alot of the hybrids i have grown, and the yield may not be as great as some of the commercial strains, but taste and stone wise its a keeper. taste reminds me of some of the better quality hash from Morocco and Afghanistan we used to get here in the uk in the early 80s but seldom see now :leaf:

6 clones at 4 weeks flower growing under 2x 600w sodium in NFT system
im keeping this because i really like smoking it, but it could do with some tighter internode spacing and some quicker floweing and larger yeild :)

vitalink max 2part food only no additives or boosters
NFT grow
ive brought the cf to 24 now they on full feed
they were flowerd at around 10 inch or so they are over 3ft now so the streatch is around 300% or more they do get pretty tall i wanted to see them grow out naturaly this time, next time i will top them at around 2weeks of flower to produce a multi cola plant

i removed a few leaves but not as many as i normaly do, this plant is not really that leafy for an indica, the leaves are very dark and thick and not so wide, been a while since i seen such thick leaves, many of the hybrids make very wide lighter green paper thin leaves, these afghani leaves looks so fat i want to sink my thumb nail into them like a rubber plant lol

My Seedsman Afghani made it through customs, but the tracking info said I moved and didn't leave a forwarding address. I guess the mailman stole them. I was gonna use them to cross with sativa landraces. If you have a good Afghanica male and female, possibilities for new and exciting hybrids abound. There seems to be too many hybrids of hybrids; landraces, and the original CA genetics have been forgotten by most people/breeders. There's too many Dutch banks making hundreds of millions in the American market. We should breed, sell seed, and keep the much needed money in the USA!

Seedsman genetics are questionable at the best of times. Their Afgani is just standard Afghani x skunk shwag that they buy in vast bulk quantities clean but don't sort and then try and sell on as something that it is not. Standard tactics for this bunch of jokers.

I grew their Narkush, and it didn't so well. I had some crazy stuff go down and had to ditch my little crop. However, I did save three strains, and one is a dwarfed Seedsman Kush. I'm moving to So Cal for a while, and I plan on taking cuttings with me. The dwarf looks cool, but the Peakssedsbc NL#5 and Skunkberry look much better. I actually dwarfed the Kush on purpose, and I plan to do this to all my mothers in the future. Sure saves a lot of space!

I was planning on making some hybrids using Sativa landraces from afopips.com. They're out of business, and I can't find a way to get some of those awesome genetics. I'm gonna help change the way seeds are acquired in the US. One Dutch bank sell $20 million+annually. That money should stay here, specially since all the Dutch banks got their start by taking genetics from Californians that worked so hard to make modern weed as we know it. Ed Rosenthal said all the Dutch strains can be traces to California from their protoplasm. Mexicans cartels laundering our money at Wachovia, the Dutch taking our seed business. We're getting screwed on both borders, and by a stupid law that's based on lies and fraud!

for the most part i would agree i have grown a few of seedsmans strains, mainly as "space fillers" as the seeds are cheap
this afghani was pretty standard as afghans go, although the taste is very nice , also i didn't see any evidence of any skunk in these genes at all.. its pure indica
few more pics can be found here on my last grow https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/438137-jamaican-grape-nft-1800w-3-a.html

I got awhole bunch of these from several order to Herbies and after growing out a handful of them I threw the rest of the seeds in the garbage. I actually had hit some afghan1 pollen to a female afghan1 to make unlimited seeds. That was a waste of my time, this stuff is shit.

i agree the garbage is the best place for them its a horrible unstable landrace , i was lucky to get 1 plant that was ok
many of seedsmans crosses are terrible

Worst strain I've ever grown, huge waste of time and fuck Herbies for giving this garbage out for free, Its good birdseed and that's it.

I grew out seedsman's sugar haze and it hermied on my big time but the smoke was unreal. I'll try popping a few more when I get a chance but they will be watched very closely for balls when I do!
