Seeds In: Northern Light X Big Bud

She still runs high bout 86 degrees inside. Outside the closet it's about 70 degrees. That's why I use the Hygrozyme because the warmer temps of the nutrient solution make it easier for plant uptake supposedly, but are ideal conditions for bud rot. I'm debating on whether or not to buy that c02 boost stuff from the hydro store to counteract the effects of higher temps.

A couple of lessons learned today
1. Wait at least 24 hours before transplanting into new DWC
2. Don't make ammendments to the ph or PPM until it is well aerated and sitting for a while. I took measurements about 3 hours after filling solution and I just check it a little bit ago and it dropped even more.
3. It seems to be a balancing act early on, I'm very thankful I have digital PPM/PH meters.

Also just bought some freezer packs to put down beisde the resevoirs to keep them cooler. I'm assuming with it being almost 90 degrees in there at times I will need something to keep the DWC's cooler.

What up smoke.
You sound to be having some heat issues.
Do you have good intake and exhaust fans?

I know it is a feat in a closet.
I have decent intake and exhaust for my cubic feet.
I have my ac on 66 usually 24/7 from now until fall.

My temps top out at 80 deg and bottom at 73 deg.

You may want to consider running some or all of the light cycle for flower at night.
The co2 is not really useful until the temps get 85-92 deg.
I like to give my co2 for an hour at a time 2-3x's during light cycle.
I cut off all the fans to do so.

Good luck

My temps are around 85-92. I keep the ac on all day so it never get's above 72 degrees in the house. I'm removing the air from the room every 3 minutes, I'll probably consider running some intake from the central air unit to the room.

Grow room looks cool, might need to bring that light a little closer though,

Also whats going on with the gangly bottom branches, might wanna give them the chop and let the upper branches get more energy

Just got done cutting those bottom branches for cloning. I was thinking maybe it's a good idea to let them go for a couple more days to get over any stress from cutting them before cutting back the lights.

you want to get the clones under light from day 1, they dont have roots so the only way they can stay alive is to photosynthesize, so you mist them and then the sun shines and they survive until they build roots.

I misted them up and have them under a humidity dome. I'm using a very small flourescent tube..bout 12 inches long to give them light.

I was thinking about adding a fence/screen above the plants. I read the faq on it. Does this have any negative or positive effects on yield and growth?

Waited till my lights to come on today since it was the 1st day of flowering. Low and behold the one plant that nongreenthumb highlighted has 2 white pistils coming out of it. I got about 10 clones from this plant. Another plant has two...i hate to say it "specs" on each side right beside the internode about 1/4 inch up on the branch. I'm assuming this is a male, but i'll wait.

Looking real good smoker!

Congrats on the girl man......and she's got 10 babies, nice one! :joint: Bad luck with the male...but with ya 10 clones...not really a problem eh!? :)

I'm going to try some cloning on my next grow. It's just got to be done.

3 out of 7 females. Count it 3 out of 8 if you count the plant that I'm whoring in there. I started a couple of seeds really late, and left one in there to flower @ about 3 inches...cruel isn't it. Still waiting on that really nice pheno to show whether it's a male or female. My fingers are crossed. Still waiting on the others to show their sex....thinking one is definately a male though.
