Seeds in Canada?

Do not order from out of the country unless you're willing to take the risk. I don't know why anyone would do that. You're setting yourself up to wait at least a month for delivery - for a delivery that may not happen because your product might be confiscated. Too much stress IMO.
I order from spain all the time direct ripper seeds and dinafem. Never had an issue. Although they have suspended shipping to Canada because of covid but my friend just told me ripper is shipping to canada again

No way man order direct from jordan and you will get a free pack every order. On special days eg canada day around christmas etc ive gotten 2 free packs.
ALWAYS order direct if you can.
Not knocking that seed bank but i like to order from the source. One time i got a pack of northern lights from jordan and a few of the seeds already cracked and spit a tail in the pack. Must have had moisture in it somehow. I emailed jordan and he sent me 2 packs express mail i got it in 2 days. Amazing company great genetics
Jordan is certainly great. And of course it's good to direct-order if that's all you want. I recommend VSB though as they sell so many different local brands and they are stellar people too. You might just find something you never thought you'd see. Happens to me when I buy from VSB. I have no affiliation, just happen to know most banks and breeders in BC personally.

Yup, before Covid it was easier. Now, it's not. I'm just saying this might not be the season to take a chance on ordering from overseas. There are plenty of great seed banks in Canada that have already imported from the EU. No need for the extra special shipping or whatnot. Last spring (2020) was a total gongshow for shipping seeds - even within Canada. Make your order sooner than later. That way you'll be ready to go for Spring.

I have been lucky I guess, had a number of international orders with no issue. Gorilla seed bank, Killabeez, Seedsman and one other I can't remember have all delivered to me in the last 6 months. Seeds are still getting through. That said I agree that if you find it locally, buy it locally. TNSB is great as they have a number of great breeders they sell and it is in Canada. It's just a shame it isn't easier these days but hopefully things will get better in the future.

It's tough in Canada, with the regulation changes that happened with legalization. Seed companies have had to go further underground. TNSB is doing what they can, I'm sure. I hope they got their shipping issue figured out from last Spring.

What issue was that? My last order from them was in June and came fast with no issues. I might have gotten lucky and missed whatever issue they were having.

They were one of the seed companies having shipping trouble in Spring 2020. It wasn't just them, of course. There were others. And Covid was the main reason it happened. It still makes me nervous though. I think by June they had it figured out. Most of the issues occurred March/April and into May (busy season).

Thanks for the info, I am happy to say they seemed to have sorted it out by the time I placed my last order. I did check out your other recommendations as well so thanks for that :) Can never have too many sources for new beans.

Just a quick update regarding True North Seed Bank. Looks like price gouging is running rampant there. They have always been expensive and over charged for things like shipping but it was worth it to me as they were local and no borders to cross. I just looked at the Blackberry Auto Fem seeds as they were in a giveaway here and looked interesting. Imagine my surprise when I saw this.
Blackberry Auto FEM - 3 SeedsCA$94.84
So they are charging $31.61 per seed plus tax, over priced shipping and still won't guarantee delivery without paying even more for insurance. I popped over to Seedsman and they are charging $15.48 per seed so less than half.
3 Seeds-+CA$46.44
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up as this feels like highway robbery to me. Sure Seedsman may take 4 to 8 weeks to arrive but not sure if being hosed by TNSB for double the price is worth it. They really need to change their logo to a guy in a ski mask if they are going to rob people so badly.

Wow. Some of these prices are flat out insulting. Looking through the suggestions, only Jordan of the Islands beats my local head shop. Wonder how much this has gone up since legalization. Suddenly respectable people can grow pot in their backyard and those guys got money and no sense about how much this shit should cost.

I kinda don't get where you're going here. $10/seed is a little eyebrow raising for me but it's "ok". $20-30 is frigging ridiculous. I'm neither broke nor living in my mom's basement. I'm 52, married and in my own house. Both of us have good jobs.

Also, you're not getting 3-4 pounds off a single seed. How high are you?
