Seeds? But How?

I am in week five of flower of my first grow(using a 400 watt hps and a 175 mh). It did not go that well. I began with six plants and am down to just one female. In week one of flowering I offed all the males. This was before the last one had shown any sex signs. Now the last one is in full flower as you can see from the picture. In week four I noticed seeds were starting to form on all of the lower buds, to where it looks like clusters of seeds instead of bud. I was under the impression that with no males around the bud would be sesamilia (without seeds). Throughout the entire grow I never noticed any male balls on the female so I don't think it is a hermie. Could those males have left pollen in there that pollenated my female?

Man it was an accident. On day one of flowering I had an idea that she was the only female so I propped up an extra mh next to it. When I returned the light had fallen and snapped the stem about four inches high. I was originally about a foot. I almost trashed it but let it continue and I am very impressed with her comeback. I really wish I would not have fucked it up though.

do you live in a building or rented house? might have used no grow(turns plants to seeds, they use it in rentals), but other than that, did you throw out the males right away or keep them in the house ? did any sacs break open or could you have broken one when you pulled them?

the seeds could be from stressing the plant too much, the stem break might have done it. you have a herm, unless pollen is somehow getting into the room.

It is a rented house, but I am not sure about the no-grow. I did kill and dispose of the males about a week into flowering, and I may have popped a sac, but could the pollen have lingered long enough? I was thinking the same thing about the break, but would I have not seen the male pollen sacks? Also, I have read on here that since it turned hermie because of stress the seeds have the DNA to produce a pure female. What are you guys thoughts about using seeds from a situation like this because I would love to use the seeds, I am having trouble getting new ones.

no, that is not true, hermies make hermies, that's simple, if you EVER decide to breed these seeds you'll have herm probs them rest of it's life.

None of those tops in your pictures are fertilized with seed at all,are you sure that the supposed seeds are not just very fat and swollen empty seed pods?
If you have never grown before this could be it.
It is unlikely that if pollen was flying around that none of the tops would have been fertilized at all.

If the buds in question are seeded the little white hairs will have shriveled right up and gone dark brown.
I have seen some very fat seed pods before on buds and there are no seeds in them they are just swollen with resin take some more pics of the actual stems that you think are seeded and post them up:blsmoke:

Yes, the hairs sticking out of the pods that look fertilized did turn dark brown. I thought that meant the buds at the bottom were almost ready. But you are right about the top buds, it is wierd that none of them look to be developing seeds. She is sleeping now but in the morning I will take close-ups and hopefully you guys can confirm that they are indeed fat seed pods not seeds. Thanks.

They don't just turn dark brown they shrivel up as well:blsmoke:

Ok, here is a closer picture at the buds that I think are fertilized. The hairs definitely turned brown but not sure if they are "shriveled." Also, as I said I am five weeks into flower, how close do you guys think I am? Anyone have any ideas as to what strain this is? It is an unknown seed? Thanks.

The first pic looks like seeds,i would say its more likely that your plant has made these seeds herself.
The second pic im not so sure those look if your lucky like very swollen yet empty pods.
The strain looks like a hybrid indica/sativa to me and i would guess thats its mostly indica:blsmoke:

its definitively seeded 100% sure on that, you can clearly see them in pics one and two.and the only way to check if was a hermaphrodite is to grow one of the seeds and see if you get the same problem! good luck :)

Yes I have picked one of them. If you squeeze it a little white seedling pops out. Thanks for all the input. Should I be worried about the top buds filling with seeds too? Am I still pretty far from harvesting or is it getting close?
