Seeds: Are site like Hemp Depot safe and reliable?

Hello All,
A question that always runs through my mind is buying seeds online. Is this a reliable way to obtain better strains, and what are any repercussions for getting these via mail? I have been looking into a site online called Hemp Depot which list many different seed vendors. I have always grown what I have found or have had and I have never took the plunge to actually buy seeds. Does anyone have any advice or experience to offer?

No takers on this? The forum is much quieter these days it seems. I will check the forums here and a few other sites I guess.

Hemp Depot is great...you will get your stuff

i bought 50 seeds from them and out of that less than 30% were succesful in germ. i wouldnt recomend.

I can say the same. had only about a 50-60% success rate germinating their seeds. And the ones that did pop turned into really munged, runty plants.

roger that i had 5 hermies and 3 fems the others didnt make it. the 3 fems that did were ugly. not sure if the seeds i got were of quality, or it was my grow its self. but overall not happy

all of that is grower/breeder error...not the fault of the seed merchant

i am not blaming it all on the seed company itself. but im not sure i got viable seeds. i am not a veteran grower but have more than ten under my belt. i have bought many seeds from the internet and got decent results. i use the paper towl method and usually get most seeds to germ. but i have bought twice at two different occasions from this site and have had simalar results both times
