Leave them, I've killed one or two when I started out by getting impatient. If it has been above soil for more than 5 days and is still stuck inside the casing, then you might try removing very carefully.
awesome man. usually best to let nature take it's course. think about it like this; an indoor environment is a lot less 'windy' etc. than the good ol' outdoors, so sometimes it may take a bit for your seedlings to get that shell off.
i actually think forcing em' to shed their shell on their own can make a stronger/healther seedling. any thoughts on this?

I've done minor surgery before with razor blades and scalpels. You need to be very sure of what you're doing though. Each time they turned out ok, but I'm pretty sure they probably would have anyway.
