Surely if the issue occured when you added the new light that there must be something wrong with using the new light... How far is "quite far away"? I mean you should have it a good 12 inches away minimum at this stage depending on how hot it gets in your grow area. Other then that maybe your under watering?

well i would say 20 inches away and i have extration and a 10 inch fan blowing over the plants. i dont understand how they could be under watered because there roots are constantly in the aerated water. but i dont understand why i couldnt use a 250w hps and cant see why that would cause the problems maybe it was just a coincedence the problem happened at the same time.

no...i was saying i had a problem, and that's what it turned out to be, do i feel a fool....even those bargain bin airstones are worthless!

you need quality...microbubbles

well when switching from a cooler CFL to a hot HPS i had failed to realize that while i had moved the light far enough away not to roast the young ones, the air between the plant and light got roasted instead.

literally changed the micro climate around the plant....very stressful. They sulked.

ah okay so basically when you chaged to microbubbles this resolved your problem? thanks for your help btw! maybe this is my problem too!

no...an oscillating fan through the offending airspace did the trick on that one...

you have a decent pump, might as well give it decent airstones.
it does helps for sure...

i'm very tired....but those young uns look fine...bit fat and blury, but fine.

they are wilting more than this now and like twisting slightly. well i will see how they go. so did your leaves just wilt when you changed lights and then you just added a fan to cool the airspace? sorry to ask so many questions im a noob :P
