Seedling growing horizontally on top of surface, what's up with this?

I planted this seed 2 days ago around half an inch into the jiffy pellet. It pierced the surface yesterday, since then it's been growing sideways with the white (root?) exposed, what's up with this, is it normal? Should I do anything?

Also what's the fuzzy stuff at the bottom?

the fuzzy stuff is the root just cover cover it up with coco and with time it will correct itself. its not suppose to happen if u planted it half an inch deep, maybe u didn't pack the top hard enough after planting the seed.
