Seedling chamber questions

I want to start a chamber to veg seedlings. I'm curious what the minimum depth would be for DWC veg solution. I have a small bolt on chiller and am wanting to use the least ammount of water possible. I'm looking at a tub that's 8 inches deep which would leave about 4" under the net pots. Is that going to be enough water for the roots 1st month of growth?

It should be enough just watch out for getting roots tangled if u have more than 1 seedling in it.

Dwc means deep water culture, not half submerged culture. Keep the level just below the netpots.
