Seedling Bent, Removed Rapid Rooter and Placed in Straight Hydroton

One off my seedlings was looking great until today, when I noticed the stem was thin in the middle as if it had been pinched. A few hours later I checked on it, and as suspected the seedling folded over, half way up the stem. After reading a thread about a seedling dying due to its shell (still in the root plug) cutting into the base of the plant, I panicked and removed the rapid rooter from the base of the plant. two of the hairy roots broke, but I stuck the entire thing back in the net pot with noting but hydrogen. Has anyone ever put a broken and barely rooted seedling directly into hydroton? I appreciate the help.

Sounds like your seeds are "damping off" Al little H2O2 helps prevent this along with a very clean area. Good luck
