Seed Storage

It must be a sin, I probably throw 50 seeds away every day.

When I find the very rare superior flower I would keep a few seeds, no notes, or names as the source is unknown always.
The really good seeds will go into the packaging tablets come in, wrapped in a chocolate foil. Mediums may go into the tin can. I probably have a few thousand on my desk in a can.

Mine to in a tackle box. I should probably use something water tight, but I like the dividers in here. I have autos at the top, then I used to have fems in the second well, and regs in the third well, but so many people have just rifled through my seeds, it's a mess at the moment. On the bottom row, on the left, are nearly all the bag seed I have gotten in recent times (2014 to now). The right is for seeds that come out of my buds, and above that is for everything else that didn't fit in one of the skinnier sections.IMAG0453.jpg

I heat seal min in mylar bags (bags in bag) and then store em in the fridge. The mylar is both light blocking and humidity blocking. Works well.

Seeds stay in the package they arrived in then put into Paper Ice Cream Bag with 1 cup of rice and stored in my humidity controlled crisper drawer in the fridge.

Interesting.
Seeds will lay dormant in hot dry sand/soil for years until water comes along and pop just fine... or will even freeze and will still pop...

I popped a bunch of bag seed that sat in a baggie in a desk drawer over a heat duct for 25+ years and got a 50% germ rate...

They arent as delicate as most seem to believe...

My case is more so I just have them all in one place, somewhat organized, and "safe". When you spend a couple hundred bucks on seeds every order, you don't want to lose them :bigjoint:
