Seed storage

Hi, which is the best way to keep my seeds alive as long as 6 months? I bought four seeds, planted two, both germinated and they are almost ready to harvest. Im planning to germinate the other two at the end of the year.

Thanks in advance!!!

Put them in aluminum zips, inside an amber glass jar and keep them in the back of a fridge and they'll be fine for years. The point is to keep them from temperature/humidity shocks.

I put them in amber glass jars with the orange silica gel desiccants beads. Seeds need to be protected from light, temps and moisture. Store them in the frig. I've read where some will use a few rice grains rather than the silica gel desiccants.

Rice can be risky, because of the pests, insects and other contaminants. I don't use Silica gel either. High quality seeds have enough water in their cells which keeps them fresh and viable. Silica gel, if used excessively, can dry them out completely in no time which can affect viability.

I read that when they opened king tuts tomb and the fresh air came in that some of the seeds in there sprouted. Not ganj and completely irrelevant it just kind of made me think of it and shows the awesome ability to go dormant that seeds posses

Exactly what I needed... Thank you!
