Hello growers high or dry everywhere.

Unnecessary story first then actual point of post below

I became one of you a couple of summers ago when my position at work changed and I was no longer working with a friend of mine who used to bring herbs with him what astounded me about it was the diversity in the smell taste colour even the way the buds were formed and each week brought anew strain what can I say I was loving it. All that was available to me was dodgy polish weed that has been sprayed and I wasn’t having that so I bought a grow bible and started educating myself. It took about 3 days reading and I was ready for the plunge suited up sorted myself a 1 x 1 x 2m tent to grow 400w hps with reflector and got on to work on attempt #1 Northern Lights.... Reasons being, resistant to almost everything really is one tuff mother I can vouch for that and I was rewarded with about 5oz from 2 x plants. When I had finished I already knew I wanted to do another grow N L was a good starter but to be frank I’m not actually a fan of that particular strain it turns out, I was sure I wanted my next grow to be full of flavor to thank my friend for introducing me to how fantastic a little weed actually is I sent him a nice big juicy bud and couldn’t believe it when the next time I saw him he had 2 jack herer clones for me and that was that next grow on. Despite reading about it being a big grower when I harvested mine it was only 3ft of the ground it only yielded 2oz but frankly Iwas lucky it survived as it had problems they grew in a terrible fashion due tothe shape of the cuttings the stems grew weak and thin no matter what I did also I underestimated just how sensitive they would be after the confidence of growing the other tanks this felt a bit more like handling nitro glycerin I gave them nute burn and then for some unknown reason a couple of weeks later I unconsciously decided they hadn’t had enough and burnt them again. Trust me I feel the shame. Despite this the weed from them was incredible some of the nicest I have had the pleasure of somking and I would love to try it again

The time has come for me to undertake another grow as my last batch was smoked long ago I am edging towards Big Bud from sensi seeds and I would love to know if anyone has grown this before I need to know how challenging it is to grow... however I am open minded to other strains and hearing about strains you would reccomend for me it has to be tasty a reasonable yeilder and i would love something colourful i seen lots of pictures of plants that range into the depths of the spectrum and i think there fucking fantastic and would love if anyone has grown anything like that and what there all about

Peace

Ive been hearing some really great things about Indica XXL, very beginner friendly, tolerant/resistant, good yield, excellent high (fantastic pain relief) and flavor, however the description says it needs room to grow so if you have a small space this might not be for you. Another good one is Super Skunk, a hybrid of Skunk#1, again very beginner friendly, tolerant/resistant, good yield, excellent high/flavor.

like the sound of super skunk reliable uniformed growing with big dank as a lava lamp's tank buds. also the original strain was produced by sensi seed bank which is great as they are who i used previously and was very happy with there service. I dont suppose you have any experiance growing this strain>>?:leaf:

Unfortunately I don't have any "Real" personal experience growing any strain, well not through to flowering anyway as every time I've tried I've failed for one reason or another. I do however know several experienced growers and talk to them on a regular basis and from what I hear Skunk#1 and Super Skunk are excellent strains, especially for beginners. I have since learned from my mistakes and I'm taking precautions to ensure my next grow will be a success, I got the E-book Growing Elite Marijuana by Ryan Ryley (almost done reading it) and it covers EVERYTHING, from picking a strain to sprouting the seed to harvesting and practically everything in between, this e-book is the best most well written growing guide EVER! My last attempts failed due to unsanitary environment, humidity/ventilation issues, fungis etc. but mark my words, I will not make the same mistakes again, EVER! I will be building a 4'x6'x2' box for my closet and I'll be using a 6" air cooled hood with a 400W Philips MasterColor CMH bulb on one end and a 250W HPS on the other end, I can't wait to get this ball rolling.
