seed pods near end??

Hey I have seed pods forming on what i belive is a Sativa dom. it has just entered its 12 week, with under hps, i had to bend down the main cola weeks ago due to the jump. (i wasn't expecting that, lol) Otherwise its hasn't had any stress.
The seeds from this were just bagseed, but maybe a hermie?? She has been female this entire time. If she is hermie can she pollinate other plants? Or possibly these are swelling with Resin, and are not seeds at all??
I was thinking that seed development starts earlier than this, and with easily another 3 weeks to go, I know that seed development can mess up the production of thc. I dryed some days ago, right before I noticed, it has a very nice aroma and flavor. its starting to get some bulk but then these pods are now forming on the bud sites. while the whole main stalk has white hairs all through it still. The side branches maybe ready to come off, as they are mostly red with nice crystals. a good mixture of mostly milky and amber secondly.

it's hard to say without pics if you have seeds or swollen calyxes, but from the description it sounds like seeds. just squeeze one of 'em and see if it's hard. not much you can do at this point, and with 12 weeks of flower invested already it's worth finishing.

also lots of times sativas put out waves of pistils at the end and it causes them to look immature, but it's not always the case when you look under the scope.

a pic would get a lot more people to chime in on this.

something probably went hermie. yes it can pollinate others but I usually have good luck leaving em and taking my chances. Usually only the bottom branches get polllinated. Its been awhile since this happened to me.

Yes it can happen during the end of flowering, it's a survival mechanism for the plant, to allow genetics to live on, it can produce seeds.

Other options could be a hermie.
But based on the length of flowering I'd say it's more likely the survival mechanism.

When i took one off the day i found them, there was just a clear liquid, not hard inside, which has lead me to post this. But if it is a Hermie i just dont want it to poll. my fresh plants. Ill try to get some pics up here soon!

how soon? lol, i like to check out other peoples plants and help them if i can. imo it shouldnt be too hard to tell but make sure to get a good amount of them from different angles and such as the more pics the better. personally i think their is a good chance its just normal swelling as the last couple weeks the buds will start to buff/swell up adding most of their mass and density. the fact you saw no seeds starting in the swollen caylx also supports that. however until the pics i cant say it is or isnt with 100% total certainty.

Yeah, I had what I thought may have been seeds, but it was just a seed pod that swelled, all water inside

a plant cannot just outa the blue make seeds. It needs to be pollinated either by a male or by itself going hermie.
I am 99% sure that some pollen must do it, it does not just poof happen.

The two options you put up are right but there is a third one, which is rodelization.
It does require pollen, but the pollen is from the plant itself, and it's not because it's going hermie.
Of course pollen is always the key factor, since without pollen, you can't get seeds.
But your statement about "out of the blue make seeds is impossible" and "It needs to be pollinated either by a male or by itself going hermie." are not fully encompassing.

I'm sorry but you are wrong.

This is a quote from Soma on Rodelization:

I noticed that if I flowered the plants 10-14 days longer than usual, they would develop male "bananas." A male banana is a very slight male flower on a female marijuana plant that is formed because of stress. Usually they do not let out any pollen early enough to make seeds, but they sometimes do. They are a built-in safety factor so that in case of severe conditions, the plant can make sure the species is furthered."

here you can see that the male flower was actually on the one i cut off. I've scoured the rest of the plant and there isnt any signs of others....
It may have pollinated a few other plants, but they are so close to being done is pretty irrelevant. Is there anything i can do?
one still has about 2 weeks to go tho :(

Hermi, and you already have a pollinates plant with the seed forming.. Dont even bother to plant those seed.. Out of 5 i got 5 hermis

Yes I am also aware that the plant is to close to the light but theres nothing further I can do about that. As you can see in dscn-4520 that the branch IS growing horizontal to the ground, from when i read about just bending them down instead of having to top them.
The bud has many foxtails, its mainly still lightly packed, instead of being really dense. But it is still covered in crystals. There is quite a few milky and still a good number clear, only a few ambers. 60x-100x

Ya i also read that buying female seeds that your plants can have a good chance at going hermie... and planting hermie seeds will be hermie, like you said. Thats the risk you run sometimes planting bagseed.

thats some other shit there, and let me tell you, she is mighty purrdy, and covered with tichs, getting ready to chop her

Old thread bump but I'm having the same issue and am wondering how yours turned out. Were they just swollen pods?
