There is no "100%" way, the seeds might not even be viable if you got them from bagseed or a shitty company, soak them in a glass of RO water on top of your fridge in the dark, wrap a black plastic bag around your cup to keep the light out, the fridge keeps them warm which is very important. If they don't show signs of sprouting within 48 hours most likely the seeds are garbage.

I've had seeds take a week to germinate.
Just this week actually.
If the soil is cool they take longer to pop.

Here's my preferred method using rapid rooters.

1. Soak seeds in RO water for 24 hrs. Simultaneously soak the Rapid Rooters in RO water in another container.
2. After 24 hours I plant the seed in the Rapid Rooter about 1/2'' down, put under light.
3. Wait.

Heat mats help.

Or you can do it like mother nature intended. Just planted straight in your soil. Get a solo cup or something small like that fill it with your seed starting mix or soil whatever you want to use. Just make sure the soil is moist. No need to soak them no need to put them in a paper towel. You will nearly get 100% germination rate it usually takes between two and 7 days from my experience. Good luck. :eyesmoke:

I always soak my seeds even though it isn’t recommend. Just make sure not to leave them in their for more than 48 hours our you’ll likely be dead due to drowning. Also some light sandpaper or match box box can be used along the edges of the seed before soaking

I have close to a 100% success rate germinating seeds and have never soaked the beans before putting them into a paper towel matrix. One thing I do is to put my paper towel/baggie set-up on a towel directly above my 400W veg bulb. They are warmer up there and tend to sprout quicker.

Good luck, BigSteve.

I just put them about 1/4" in the soil and water it, 100% success rate. It's not hard if you get decent seeds. If you used the paper towel method and they didn't even crack I would say you get some bad seed, unless you kept it cold.

I have read a million things over the last 2 years to build my "perfect" grow room.and do everything correctly,etc...I've come to think that you have to go thru the process of growing and from all your reading/research and your preferences. YOU learn as you go.just learn a little easier soon when you do something different try test plant possibly and always use less than more.especially in nutes.every plant is an individual(like humans) and even though same strain they can want/act totally diferent.so use your research..get good genetics...I'm big on seedling/cutting growth in vigor/growth rate and want the biggeat root system before replanting in final pot.but they all want their own food/love(care) and general healthy/'ll ean practices and maybe not too ur first learn/grow but not alot-you'll have your own system and preferences down.also I suggest you keep great notes on each plant and love/nurture them along.also by your 1st grow results you'll see too how all your equipment works together and all that. #justgrowit

my general procedure is:
Microwave safe plastic dish (ritual)
Wet papertowel (roomtemp/coldish bathroom sink water)
seeds in papertowel, fold it up, dont be stupid about how you do it.
leave uncovered, little bit of water on the plate. Check daily, add water as needed.
Throw it in a bathroom closet that everybody showers in, highest humidity in ur house.
KEEP IN THE DARK

Give it 2-3 days, they should have cracked and grown a little taproot. I wait for taproot to be 1/2"-1" before i stick it in some coco.

Works for you.sounds good to me.you could also use a small reptile heater with a bath towel wrapped around it til towel just warm and sit plate on it for humidity.some people do this too.keep on growin.thanks

no, i dont heat it. seeds germinate in the ground silly, thats 60-65 degrees i think. Throw them on a plate, dont run the fan when u take a shower, keep it simple. Ive never had a seed fail.
