Hi all! Been a while but ive decided to start another outdoor op. unfortunately there is a 6 foot fence directly behind the plants, making it VERY easy to reach over and pull a plant / cola or 5....

currently i have cameras and motion sensors set up so you cant enter the area without triggering at least ONE of the motion sensors, but the main concern is the fence.

I'm also taking classes on electrical engineering so my understanding of electrical components is fairly decent,

my idea was to take the charging unit from a disposable camera (330v) and running two wires along the top of the fence so the second they reach over they get a nice little zap :)

my question is, I can ramp this up to 660 or 990 if i run the capacitors in series, or run 330v in parallel to give them a longer shock but less voltage. basically how much voltage would be suitable to not majorly injure somone? just to get them the fuck off my fence :)

Dude.. this could result in some legal trouble if someone were to get seriously hurt. Especially if your grow isnt legal. Why dont you just LST your plants so they dont get so tall?

of course its legal, i know if you put a high voltage line up you MUST put a sign up(for the extremely high voltage ones). but my thoughts are, why the fuck are you trying to reach over my fence in the first place? also, ive taken multiple shocks from the 330v but im a littttleee too afraid to try the 660 lol. and i cant put up a bigger fence due to housing regulations. i'm pretty sure they wouldnt call the cops cause they got a little jolt, its not like they should be climbing my fence to begin with. that right there is tresspassing, what are they gonna tell the cops? "oh we couldnt rob this guy cause he had electric fences, i wanna sue" cmon

You would be suprised with what could happen man. Say a guy has a heart condition and hes reaching over your shit, only to be shocked and subsequently die from a heart attack.. your ass is fucked because you set that up solely for your plants. Electric fences are cool if you have animals.. livestock. If your in a suburban area the city can have you remove it because its a danger in the first place. Like I said, you can avoid the problem entirely if you LST your plants.

the thing is, they're capacitors so they discharge within 2-3 seconds depending on resistance (skin, sweat etc) its not like im running 10k volts like cattle fences, and its also a little too late for lst, ive tried FIMing and everything and they're sitll hitting 5 feet.

get an extension cord and splice the female end and plug the other side to a 110V and hook the wires to the line above the fence. you'll get a nice jolt and then they'll be on there way...( would that even work ) always wanted to try it. leme know how it goes lol

Careful with traps and shit man, could loose your license. If you do have one. LST maybe?

Don't do this either. You will blow a breaker real quick. Messing around with electricity like it is a game is not smart. You can kill someone easily with some AC voltage.
