I'm probably going to install a 4" booster in my DR120W, it runs around mid 80s right with my ballast set to 400w but when I switch it to 600w it jumps up to the high 80s. The only reason it stayed cool was because it's been cloudy lately, once the sun comes out again, I'm guessing my tent will hit low 90's at 600w.

hey i was just reading a thread and the guy has a dr80with a 400 hps 2 inline fans 4 and 6 a smaller fan in the tent, timers and what not. he said you would need a 30 amp breaker to run all this..do any of you have this breaker? or is it because hes running 2 inline fans?

You can plug everything into regular wall sockets. Just like with anything new you plug in, don't overdo it and you'll be fine.

Back again. This time I got what I sought out to buy. 4inch inline with 4x12 Phresh Filter.
NICE!
The phresh filter is the one I was looking into buying yesterday. How much did it cost you?
thats a nice setup there. I wish I had an inline hood.

I am not sure how to hook up the carbon filter because I am pulling air from the light right out of the cab. I guess I could put the filter right next to the fan on the outside of the tent but that will be so freakin loud in my apt. If I put the filter and fan on the inside i am afraid it will not transfer enough heat out of the tent.
should have got an inline 400watt.

any suggestions?
It really smells in here.

Well if you don't have a vented hood you can probably just put an inline fan in there sucking air thru a carbon filter and out of the tent (preferably into a different area). Have some passive intake at the bottom and a fan inside to blow around some of the fresh air. You have to get nice cool fresh air in, take the warm stinky air out. With the right filter and fan, you won't smell a thing. Put a speed controller on the inline fan (this is a must) and you won't hear a thing.

Phresh filter cost me $80. Fan cost me $90.

So last night I was thinking of where I was gonna dry my buds. I've seen people dry in tents cause the carbon filter will help filter out odor. I've seen people wrap buds in newspaper and just hang above the lights. Well, I'm doing a little hybrid of that. I made myself a dry box with stuff laying around the house. It cost me nothing but will probably cost you guys around $15 bucks at most. Here's some pictures.

The fan's are all powered with a cell phone charger I found.

hey you guys working with the passive intake. Do you keep the room completly dark? i see some of you have the tent in what seems to be bedrooms. my problem is my window covering came off in the tents room. it wasnt completly dark but no direct if any sun light got in the tent..so when the lights come on what do i check for to see if the plants were harmed

ok. thanks a lot I think I will try that on my next grow. I am about to harvest this saturday so it will be a great time to make some modifications to the box. I have an intake fan with a filter on it bringing in fresh air from the room and a few small fans inside. I think I will be set up after I get my hands on a can filter.

Nice Group! I own a DR80 and started out with an aircooled 600hps in it for budding. since then it has served as a veg tent and is now a clone tent, since i have built rooms for bud and veg. In my pictures, I have one of it with my clones, two are pics of when it was a bud tent and the last is of my Vortex crop I started in that tent. i love my tent, has served me well in a year of use so far!

Thank you, I honestly couldn't answer that at the moment. This is my first grow (technically my 2nd) and I am yet to do my first harvest.

Depending on the strain, if it has a short flowering period, IMHO, I think it's possible in a DR120, but you would probably need at least 600w. I'm expecting at the lowest 2oz. per plant with 6 flowering at a time but quantity is not what I'm shooting for...

(Don't forget this is my first grow and most of my opinions are based on what I've read)

I am suprised to see so many people running their filtered air past their light. Isn't this just pulling hot air across the bulb?
I've got a 250 hps with a heat shield, and temps are 81 7 inches directly below the bulb.
and for intake, i have an inverted U shape made from duct with a 12v computer fan on the inside, and wire mesh on the outermost side. That way i can keep cat hair, and the cats themselves out of the op.

I don't completely understand what you're saying, you're supposed to suck hot air through the bulb and out of the tent, regardless of the where you prefer to mount the filter. There are two common ways to mount the filter, one you can put it before the light to suck in the bud smell through the filter, through the light and out the exhaust vent, the other you can mount the filter after the light. Why would it surprise you that so many people are doing it this way? If must work right? :D
