Second Indoor Grow

It's a little late but here is my current grow. I'm using supersoil, and if my recipe sucks I have a General Organics Box as back up. I use a 4x4x6 foot Secret Jardin for flowering and a 3x2x6 foot closet for veg. All strains vegged under 300 actual watts of LED for all but their last three weeks, which was then switched to 600 watts HPS. Flowering is under one 600 watt HPS and one 150 watt LED panel. Strains are Cotton Candy from a bag I bought, Jilly Bean by TGA and Kirby, a plant found growing in dirt in the crack of a curb of a local fast food restaurant. Cotton Candy was vegged for 11 weeks total, topped and heavily LSTd, she was switched to 12/12 on Nov 16. She was 20" tall when switched and is in a 7 gallon pot. Jilly Bean was vegging for 6 weeks, also topped and heavily LSTd she was switched to 12/12 on Nov 25 and was 14" tall and is in a 3 gallon pot. Kirby vegged for 18 weeks. She was heavily topped and LSTd, she has 39 colas, all thick, strong and unsupported. She was switched to 12/12 on Nov 16 at 16" tall and 28" wide and is in a 5 gallon pot. All i know about her is she smells phenomenal and looks to be close to a 50/50 hybrid. Time for sum pishers.

Hey! Nice tent! Just want to pick your brain quickly when you said you topped heavily and she's got 39 colas how many times did you top the main stem? Did you top the tops of side branches?

I am experimenting with a plant at the minute, I have topped the main stem twice and all the side branches once, so far...

First pic is whole tent, second is Cotton Candy, third is my Jilly Bean and last is Kirby. Ill update with pics and weekly measurements. At the end of week one for CC and Kirby they were 27" and 20". So CC stretched 7" first week and Kirby was 4". Monday will be the end of week two. JB will be updated Wednesday. And here is a pic of the current Veg tent. I'm limited to a max of 12 plants. I have a Kirby mother, CC mother, Jily cone, two Headbands and two Bubba Kush. LEDs were turned off for pics.

Short delay for the how to. I'm a dad and I have a son in his terrible twos. Lol.

Ok, so here is a prepped clone, has been rooted for 7 days. I plan really far ahead, so i actually topped this girl a week before I removed her from the original plant. I remove all fan leaves on the main stem until it forks, then punched a hole in the side of my pot slightly above dirt level. Thats important because without an initial support at the base of the stem, you would rip her roots out of the dirt.

Now, I'm not going the rest of th way with that particular clone. Its being used to teach a friend how to. All thats left though is putting a hole in the pot exactly opposite of the first hole at dirt level. This will be where we use more twist tie (or whatever other chordage you hav cavailable that won't cut into your plant) to slowly bend her down. I wrap the twist tie right below the fork of my top, and gradually tighten it down until in a few weeks time, all the side branches turn into colas. It ends up like this.

Update, end of week two of 12/12 for CC and Kirby. Stretch really slowed the last couple days, it had me worried for a minute. CC is measuring 37 inches tall and Kirby is coming in at 25 inches tall. So total stretch so far has been 17 inches for CC and 9 inches for Kirby. Lights went off before I could snap a new pic today. My bad. Everything is going quite well so far. Jilly Bean will be updated Wednesday.

Bottom leaves on Jilly started to get light starved. Was 17 inches before I tied her down.

End of week three for Kirby and CC. Kirby is done stretching and comes in at 26" tall, and 32" wide. CC had to be supercropped and is 43" tall and 31" wide. JB is now 18" tall and 22" wide after the LST. Growth is good, no problems besides the odd light starved yellow leaf every now and then. Plain water and supersoil is kind of boring. Buds are really starting to grow. I PHed my sater for the first time yesterday. It's 8. :dunce: Organic PH lowering advice anyone??? Oh yeah, pishers. First is whole tent, then JB, then CC, then Kirby and last Kirby's top cola looking all sexy.

Didnt Chemdog come from bagseed?
That I couldn't tell you. But if it did they probably had to breed it out for awhile to stabilize it. Just saying, I wouldnt recommend it myself, I did it before and I got a whole lotta seeds, haha.
Your plants look super healthy by the way! I use soil and granular fertilizer and only plain water myself

Thank you for the kind words. My first indoor grow was all bagseed from dispensary purchases and i didnt have any herm problems. Couple sterile stamen, that was it. A herm isn't a big deal to me honestly. And the "ditch weed" is turning into the frostiest plant I've yet to grow. There are a dozen places within 10 miles of me I can pick up seeds if anything really bad happened(TGA, CaliConn, Apoc and several others I dont really pay attention to) so honestly, no worries. If I end up with a bunch of seeds, roasted hemp seeds are delicious.
