Second Grow - Bubbleponics. Need a little help.

Hey, everyone.

So, this is the deal. This is my second attempt at growing and after all the browsing I've done on this site, I've decided to go with a bubbleponics setup. My first grow wasn't exactly a success (soil), and I have much bigger expectations for this grow, as I've put a lot more money into the kit that I needed.

This is my current setup:

  • 1m x 1m x 1.8m budbox
  • 1 x 400W Digital HPS/MH ballast
  • 1 x 400W HPS bulb
  • 1 x 400W MH bulb
  • 1 x 4" intake fan + intake duct from my window
  • 1 x exhaust duct exhausting out of my window
  • 4 x 5 gallon bubbleponic buckets (pre-made)
  • 2 x Terra Grow and 2 x Terra Bloom (came with my light)
  • 5 x G12 Labs Feminized White Widow seeds

So the point of this thread is to just ask a few questions. I have searched the forum and haven't found specific answers to these questions.. or maybe it's just my lack of searching skill. Either way, here are the questions I have:

Nutrients - This one has been bugging me for a while. What kind of nutrients am I looking for? I've heard good things about Bio Bizz Grow & Bloom, what are your opinions on this? What NPK should I be aiming for? Also, what would be the recommended dosage to start with?

How exactly do I test the water to determine whether or not my babies are being fed correctly?

Changing the water - How exactly is this done? Will there be some kind of draining system on my buckets? If not, how else would changing the water be accomplished, without having to worry about damage to the roots? And how often should the water be changed?

CO2 - Will I need some sort of CO2 system in my budbox? Or will the fresh air being sucked into my budbox be sufficient for healthy growth?

Any other advice you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. Take note that this is my first attempt at growing with bubbleponics and I really want to make sure I have everything I need to get some healthy plants, so anything else you think I'd need, please share.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help is appreciated.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

When you changed the water did you just let the roots hang in a dry bucket? or does the bucket need to be wet?

Also, about the nutes, i've bought some Bio Bizz Grow for the time being. Has anyone tried these nutes with a dwc setup?
