Except for the fact that if done properly shrooms take weeks instead of months and after the initial work, theres pretty much no upkeep, no watering, no nothing, just take a couple hours to do the sterilization and after that its smooth sailing.

im thinkin about ordering spores and just dripping them around this big ol' rotten tree stump with like sawdust and woodchips everywhere it in a forest that no one ever walds thru and its a warm rainy time of year here. im thinkin that might work but then again
ill probly get flamed all over the place as soon as i post this...hahaha

I think that psilocybe's prefer manure or straw/hay, and most mushrooms don't grow on just sawdust, when i grow edibles i use sawdust but i mix it about 80% sawdust with 20% wheat bran as a supplement, the equivalent to brown rice flour in the PF method. The sawdust is like the soil for growing them and the wheat bran is like the nutrients in it.

so if i get like a big bucket full of sawdust and sum BRF and just drip sum spores on it, they could grow??? what kinda temp do they need and they need to stay moist rite or sumthin like that rite?

what you should do is the PF-tek and just steam them, inoculate, let it colonize, and then take a huge bucket of compost(aged-leached) and just mix it all up in the woods, after a month or 2 go to the spot and pick your shrooms, it's that easy with outdoor shrooms, and every time forever(pretty much) you can just go pick some. you don't hardly have to worry about contamination when there outdoor either because the earth takes care of it all...if you don't believe me, set a piece of bread outside, and wait and see if it molds.

anyway, theres nothing better than fresh shrooms, i will never eat dry mushrooms again.

They aren't as hard to grow as you may think, Look into Myco bags... All the Pressure cooker work is done for you. All you have to do is inject your spores into it place in a dark warm place and your mycelium grows on it's own...

here are some links for the myco bags:

mycofactory.com, Mycobag, Mycokit mushroom kits, Mycobag pre-sterilized grow bags, autoclavable spawn bags and pressure cookers.

Myco Supply offers mushroom supplies, mushroom tools and mushroom growing equipment. Growing mushrooms and fungi is easy with the right tools. Myco Supply also offers fungi supplies, mushroom kits and mushroom growing products

Tiapan usually grow primarily in the Pacific North West and not in the rest of the United States where Psilocybe cubensis strains of mushrooms grow. I would not suggest picking any mushroom unless you know exactly what your dealing with.

liberty caps are usually found in the pacific north west like you said, rare else where but they can be found in my area, which is ontario, basiclly subartic regions, i have seen these mushrooms before, but i could be mistaken for another, doesnt hurt to look though,

PF tek can be done without a pressure cooker hey... But realy, I wouldn;t try and pick em in the wild unless I familiarise myself with them by growing em first. You will be astounded to see all the diffirent forms shrooms from the same spore print can take on...

I know TV is frowned on during entheogenic trips, but I sometimes feel a deep level of download with it... anyway.. rent Kung Fu Panda and watch it on shrooms...
