Scrub Bud Question.

What do you guys do with the little scrub buds you get from the bottom of the plant?

Obviously one idea is just to strip them and make hash. But I'm wondering if the stalk with the scrub buds can be placed back under the light to get some extra growth from the scrub buds.

Anyone ever have any success with that or is it not worth the trouble?

When I harvest, I keep the very top and very bottom of the plant for me. And "share" the rest. After they are dried, I smoke the tops and put the little buds in jars in a dark cool place and just leave them there for hard times. By the time I get around to smoking them they have been curing for a while and are really good.

Well, thanks guys but I'd like to know if putting them back under the light will beef them up or if they are a waste of time.

it will work if your plants are healthy enough. if youve lost all your fan leaves then the stress will be too much and they wont bulk up much at all. if youve still got plenty of healthy fan leaves then the answer is yes, they will fatten up a fair amount.

It hardly seems worth it to tie up the space needed to get a little extra out of the little shit buds. You could be flowering another plant that will put out big buds in that space.

it all depends on your space and needs. myself, i just about always have a lady waiting for floorspace in the flower room so i would do a total harvest every time. but im sure there are growers out there that can afford to leave a girl in for an extra couple weeks without messing up his schedule.

I'm thinking maybe them for a few days and see what happens as they are in with some other flowers. Soon the room will be cleared and some 7 footers from outdoors will be brought in and layed on their side. I'm looking forward to that.

you really need to go at least a week for there to be any benifit. after you harvest the top half the plant will go into a sort of shock while it repairs all the cut ends. i suggest 10-14 days or nothing.

7' ers on thier side sounds interesting. what kind of light do you have?

Right, I'm hoping the plants sense the damage and kind of redirect the hormones to the scrub buds.

The light is a 600W Hrotilux HPS on a light rail. I should be flowering at least 6 very large girls. Should prove interesting.
