Scrog

after spending a couple of hours non stop reading about SCROG, i am pready convinced this is the path i want to take. i previously thought i was going to LST a single plant in an S shape, which would be alot of hard work and probly wouldnt work, but im thinkin i should scrog, ive got a few questions...it will be a bit of a read, but thanks to you if u give it a go

firstly a few specifications on WHERE im growing
i wil be growing a single plant in a 32cm X 46cm X 120cm, so about a foot square by 4ft.
i havent purchased anything yet but im aiming for a 70w HPS with a couple of PC fans for sumsort for exhaust

rekon its a good idea to do a SCROG in this area ?!?!?!!? i previously grew 1 plant in there completely natural (no lst..etc..) with cfl's and yeilded an oz, ailright considering it was my first grow

now for a few questions i wrote down while reaserching it abit...ive gathered the basic idea of SCROG.... BUT...

indica vs sativa?!?!?!? which would be better for my situation?!

how exactly do you start it? i understand about moving the bud sites, its jsut, how to begin it? i.e top it so u have 4 main ones and go out in each direction type thing?? -- so that chimes in with how many nodes?? before introducing the screen
or would you start it at one end and lst it so uve got the main stem going in just one direction!?! but im using a square 32cm X 46cm so that wouldnt really work???


and now a couple on growing it during the scrog;
how long does it take to move the bud sites? like after letting them grow 1-2 inchesthrough a square, to move it to the next square, is it hard? do you have to physically push each growing top back through and into the next, and as you do that more bud sites grow behind that and fils in the scrog?

now, there will definatly be sum +rep involved to anyone that managed to read al that and help me out, please feel free to add ANYTHING ive missed about the idea of scrog that will help me out - im sure ive missed alot.

Indica is more suitable in a scrog setup...

You can top multiple times for multiple tops, or you can lst her to the side and have the lower tops compete to be the main...i.e.



Yes you have to physically (but gently) thread the tops through the squares to fill it out and create an even canopy...

Just put the screen above the plant. Let it grow through the screen. Then after it is tall enough, fold it over and down under the screen. Or wrap it around the screen. in about 2 to 3 days do it again,and again, and again. Eventually the plant will quit growing upwards and fill in.
