Scrog or Mainline?

WIth a single plant, you will want to veg it longer to fill up the tent, so I wouldn't mainline it-you could, but you'd be going for probably at least 32 bud sites, which would be better supported on more than two primary branches. I'd just top until I had around 32 bud sites and spread them over a scrog. You could still pretty much use the "mainline" technique but I'd do it on 4 branches instead of two, just to spread everything out more in each direction to fill up the tent.

Not trying to derail here, but I am mainlining 3 blueberry photos right now...are you suggesting changing the manifold to a 4-way kinda thing as opposed to the normal 2 branch split..
.maybe similar to a nebula manifold? Or are you talking about taking the manifold higher and splitting further up as it grows?

I lollipop, mainline and use netting, not exactly "scrog" but I just do 2 layers of netting one to support branches and the second layer to support colas upright.

Mainlining will get you a bigger yield with most genetics just understand it will add easily 15-20 days to your VEG time versus just topping, lollipopping & flipping them into netting.
