[SCroG] help me maximize my space

So, naively, I divided my closet in half thinking I can use each space (both 3' wide, 3' deep, and 4' tall) for both cycles (veg and flower). I plan on having a 1.5' or 2' mother

I read the growfaq on SCroG, wasn't really explained in depth and since the search engine doesn't work.. I need to ask you ANOTHER question haha.

When should I start topping?
Should I continue to bend the stem (allowing it to grow back upright to the light)?
How do I keep it small enough and/or stunt it's growth?
How do I utilize scrog?

First off; I haven't done this yet, I'm relatively new. So I don't have absolute answers for your questions, but I have an idea, and would like to know some of these answers.

When you say bend the stem, I'm pretty sure you're talking about low stress training (LST). Well, from hours of reading; I think you're supposed to keep bending the stem, as long as you want, and then when your plant is around half the size of the desired plant height, put it into flowering. the stem should always grow back to the light, as long as you don't have to tip weighed down. Since you have to worried about plant size, I would top the oldest/tallest limbs, allowing new/shorter ones to grow, making your plant have a even canopy.

hopefully someone experience will show us the light, if I'm wrong.
