I tried a pre-made colloidal silver solution (50ppm) just to see how effective it is in case I don't feel like mixing the chemicals for STS. The Skunky D female I've tried it on seems to have reversed okay. If I can get her to produce some decent pollen within the next couple weeks, there's a big Giesel that's getting it.

Pics look better over here :)
Nice having real resolution on the photos here, I did not like seeing them reduced, I like the details.

You got a facelift too, I kinda miss your goofy Facetime Party Snoozer avatar but good job on the new.

How useful is a terpene test to identify the aroma profiles in a pheno?

I am planning on a potency test on one pheno of Jabba’s Cure, I just want to see how much CBD is there, it is definitely a different & unique high. I may have the Skunky VA tested too just for fun, terpene test is an extra $100. I would have no idea how to interpret it effectively tho, would you?

Course I am a really good procrastinator but it is in my plans. Good to see you bud.

It's from a new logo. I may go back to the old avatar, have had a string a bad luck since the switch.

I'd say it depends on how well you can associate the individual constituents with their observable contribution to the bouquet. Unless I was trying to breed for a specific terpene(s) and needed to identify plants with high levels, I would save the $100. The ultimate test on the terpenes is your own nose and tastes. The CBD test will be interesting.

I think we're all afflicted to some degree. Good to see you too.

I vote you go back to the old avatar. I associate that weird picture with Schwaggy P. In fact in my mind that is Schwaggy P in that picture :eyesmoke: . Its like if HydroRed ever changed his.
Here are the ( Chem91skva x c99 ) x Chocolate Trip F4 that broke soil on Jan 9th. The 6 to the left and the the 2 last ones in each row. 4 of the ones to left were transplanted days after the others into their current pots.

A (Green Crack S1)BX1 male was kicked out of a tent to make room. He was flowered out to collect pollen for continuing the GC back-crossing and attempting a Roadkill-type Skunk using my nasty Skunky D female. I'm trying to get the astringent/vinegar from the GC onto the intensely raunchy Skunky D. I'm also pollinating a Green Crack female with Skunky D male pollen, and testing out which M/F arrangement gets me closer.

GCS1BX1 - (in ~15oz. pot)

I did 2 pollen collections from him about 2hrs. apart and got more than I needed for a couple branches worth of pollinating.

The Green Cracks have been branch-pollinated with the Skunky D pollen

The fussy gals may lean to the Giesel, she seems to eat more than others. I have one on a mixed table and she's begging for more food. If 2 out of 6 give you reason to be excited, I'll take that ratio.
Ok good to know. I have 1 or 2 (of 6) that seem to be Mag whores. Some niiiice frost developing for what I would consider 3ish-4 weeks of flower.
Hadn't got in there to defol the large upper fans yet.
My 2 of 6 comment was in reference to structure this far. My favorite is still the shortest of the group in that respect.

Some shitty night shots. I had to go ninja style. The one to the right isn't that tall,it needs to come off the prop bucket it's sitting on. She was one of the short ones.Shes no longer short, same size as the other 4.

She's getting close and wow she's got some funk to her. Got back into the corner of the flower room this morning, close enough for a decent smell of her.

Her bigger sisters sweet berry overpowers the room so it's kinda hard to get an accurate smell assessment without some grow room acrobatics.

There's definately a sharp skunky fuelly smell coming off her. No sweet at all, just a nose burner. The kind of funk that's really, really bad, but really, really great at the same time.

Facetime Party Snoozer is back! Makes me smile. Hope your luck changes with it!

I look forward to the potency test but a single terpene test would not have meant much to me without testing enough different skunks to pinpoint the differences, some can be sweet, some garlicky, some ammoniated…but somehow still skunky. Be fun to figure that out someday.

With your chemistry background I wondered if you already had terpene insights. @schwaggyP terpene charts & diagrams complete with pictures & arrows would not surprise me. :D

In the meantime I will save $100 & be happy to make do with the potency test. I will have to perform more stinky smoke comparisons. The sacrifices we make. :bigjoint:
