Or he was growing Peyote Purple. They're marked as regulars but have a 95%+ chance of being female apparently lol

There's two camps as far as growing regs. First one is that a seed is what it is and no matter what you do, it's either going to be male or female, second camp says that environmental factors will determine your female:male ratio.

Anyone want to throw down some pointers on how I can possibly improve my current very crappy ratio?

Low temps high humidity high n lower light intensity

Temp 65-73.. rh 60+..dark leaves ok..do this for the first 3 weeks
You will have 80%females

I dont feel like going into sex determination..

Well lets give that whirl then, cuz I can only go up from here on out, even if I decide to keep these two ten paks I have of Grape Ape and Cookie Wreck

treat it all like a true warzone...cross heaps of different regular strains, plant heaps more than you need as its a war of attrition, eventually through mass plantings the sheer numbers will overcome the negative odds, & with the different varieties that you have crossed you will soon see the ones least likely to hermie, but you need hundreds or even thousands of beans to be insured against failure...which can only be afforded by doing your own crosses...im talking about my situation which does not allow for clones & am outdoors but may fit yours in certain ways

More blue light during the seedling, and veg stages, will help increase your number of females.
The opposite is true as well, more red light during the seedling, and veg stages, will increase the number of males. I've tested it out several times myself and the results are always the same.

That may, in fact, be true but I've never had a fem hermie on me in my "extensive" 3 year growing history.

Absolutely, which is why I veg under 6500k T5

I almost mentioned that, but seeing as i veg and flower under hps i couldnt with conscience. It definitely pales in comparison to lught and himidity on the hierarchy of things
