say Ive got one seed

and wish to have 3 plants LSTd, would the best way to go about this be
1. germinate, lst, take 2 clones and lst them, flower all 3
2. germinate, veg, take 3 clones and lst those, throw mother away or just plant it randomly and let nature handle 'er

germ
veg
clone 2/ lst
keep mother and pamper

how long do most plants need to veg before enough possible locations to take clones from are present?

4 week or so maybe?

depends on the plant really

yeah was just looking for a rough guess, but so you think I should just veg her untrained then take the clones from her?

That's how it is generally done.

alright thanks guys, i was just figuring to save time take the clones off the one lst'd, but i was worried about how thatd affect the growth and yeild

what is lst'd?? and why not just germ three seeds if you want three plants. what happens if the one seem that you have turns out to be male?? then you've taken the time to veg a plant, take two clones, and veg them, and them put them in flower. planting three seeds sounds a lot safer to me. at least then you have three chances for a female instead of just the one chance.

I read somewhere if you take them from the stem closest to the base they will root faster, not sure if that's true or not but might wanna give it a try, especially when the plant is young. I like to take clones about a week into flower if I can, I've had better success cloning that way. When I start from seed I usually top it and clone the top, keep it as my next mother to take from and then take clones from her and flower the original

He only has one seed

I would just go get another seed or two. That way, you can take clones from the strongest mom. When I took clones, I grew a crop of about 14.

One seed is tricky, I took a chance and bought 1 Fem Durban and 1 Fem LSD, only the LSD germinated, now Im kepping fingers crossed it turns fem. Best bet is to start multiple seeds. Im going to order 1 more Durban and hope for the best.

rofl somones upset- you do realize in my total of ~15 posts ive displayed more intelligence than what youve managed to do in your 150 posts? Hell, probably more than in your lifetime, but yeah, I'm the idiot.

But yeah, the seeds fem'd so i dont gotta worry about it being a male, and I didnt wanna grow one untrained just because i wished to have 3 lst'd
