Saw little white bugs in the plate that the plant is in

Yesterday, when I picked up the pot that the plant was in I noticed little tiny tiny white bugs in the plate that the pot was in. I am not really able to take pics because my camera doesn't have high enough resolution to capture bugs this tiny.

Today I saw a larger black bug on the side of the smart pot trying to get in. I opted to kill it instantly instead of running to get the camera in fear that I wouldn't be able to find it.

I saw some good insecticide concoctions in the organic section, would something tlike this help?

Other than this the plant seems to be generally healthy except for the fact that the tips are turning slightly red.

Growing in soil/pots? Add a 1/4" of sand to the top. That will help kill them off if they are undersoil bugs.

Idk what it is! but did you kill it after you took the pictures? :P

I would go to the store and buy some house plant insecticide.

@lakew00d many soil bugs will only lay their eggs into soil, therefor putting a layer of sand will insure that no more eggs are laid. then you only have to deal with the living ones and not worry about their offspring

I've seen and had these too. Don't know what they might be. I know Thrips Are a leaf bug buts that what they kinda look like. I've irraticated them by spraying the pots, drain pans and floor arear. Outside was really bad and lots of them under the pots. They Do hop if that helps any.:joint:
