Sativa Advice Needed :)

So I really need some help on some good sativa strains. Im looking for something that isnt going to kill me trying to grow her properly, and something that isnt going to take more then 14 weeks.. or at least not much more.
Ive been an indica guy a long time but recently thought about it and a lot of my fav smokes have had a large % of sativa in them... Go figure.. I realized this after I started a run where 2/3s of the garden is mostly indica :p. Saving grace there though is that i have a jack herer from bcbd and this thing looks like its almost pure sativa. Stretchy as hell in veg and shes under a 600w MH, the tent is only 4L x 2W x 4H so the light isnt the problem :p. Are all heavy/pure sativas like this? If they are like that i definitely wont be able to run more then 2 in my tent cause ill have to lst and top them enough to get a good harvest.
Ive been looking into a few, but the one that sticks out most to me right now is Wild Thailand from World of Seeds. I havent researched it at all yet though, its just one that the name stuck with me lol.
I have no experience with sativas, but i know a lot of people here do and i would love if you guys would share your knowledge with me on this.

if you want sativa that is not too large avoid haze and go for the skunk strains
even crosses with 25% haze can become huge

jack amnesia ssh are all haze most of them will get big

you could look into LST basically tying or bending the branches out or down so they stay short
also you can grow sativa with little to no veg time and they will still get 3ft tall or so with no training
your wild Thailand sounds nice but im sure it will get very big

mexican and other south american and african sativa are mostly smaller than Asian
but Colombian sativa can be larger than Asian

white widow is a sativa hybrid with Brazilian genetics this one tends to stay smaller but some phenotypes can still get massive

you might want to look at cheese and blues, they are skunk#1 selections that have good sativa characteristics and do not get as big as haze
or maybe durban a african sativa

peace

PURE sativas are stretchy as all hell, tall and leggy! If you think 'sativa' then you're thinking about the effect mostly, a nice rushy upper, right? Some nice hybrids around that give you that:

Big Buddha's Cheese or Chiesel - Both have that trademark UP but stretch in a way you can manage. The Cheese seems to always have GREAT phenos. Like the Doc says, the Skunks are all really rewarding and not so mental when it comes to stretching out.

A GREAT starter-sativa is Greenhouse's Skunk #11. Easiest Sativa EVER.

Serious Seeds Chronic leans towards sativa in all the right ways too. SOG it yields like you won't believe so I guess LST it'll do the same.

Nirvana's AK 48 also leans towards a good Sativa upper kinda high, flowers FAST like a good Indica though, rock hard nugs.

The true sativas love them some stretch... Really makes sense why they do that when you watch them go outdoors in good sun, though.

Any strains become feasible with training. I started using LST on my last grow. Very impressed with the technique. I would happily attempt any 100% sativa strain (if such a thing exists) now and feel I could pull it off in my 2 metre high tent. The technique can be seen in the grow in my sig, but is just a basic LST tie down method. If you flip to 12/12 after just having tied the top(or tops) down then stretching doesn't really occur for the first week. If they do still look like they're running away with themselves then pipe cleaners with weights attached can attached to the bent down tops.

My current grow is Jack Herer and a sativa dominant cross of it. Both are renowned for stretching. Tallest one I have is 3.5ft after being put into 12/12 at 15 inches tall. And that was not fully exploiting the tie down effect. These were flowered a few days after the tie downs. The closer to the tie down the flip, the more it will impact.

I will probably try the method with a Barney's 'Doctor Grinspoon' at some point just to try and fully illustrate the potential of the technique.

You grown Grinspoon before? Any good what you got out of it? Mate of mine grew some out outdoors... Lowest yield ever, hardly anything to the buds man, FLUFF CENTRAL. High - meh. Flavour - meh. Maybe he just had shitty luck but the LSD from Barneys growing in the same patch was PHENOMENAL as was the Nightshade and Cheesus.

An easy to grow, not too stretchy sativa hybrid, is Positronics Jack Diesel.
Clones like a dream.
I have ran it 3 times now and the smoke is great and the clones finish in 9-10 weeks.
tastes like lemon and pine. Good yielder too.
The first one from seed finished in 72 days.

Well that's just because of the huge amount of dank out there lol... I always think oldschool first. Chocolope is DAAAANNNNKKK. And L.A Confidential too. I traded quite a bit of those for some of my Diesel. Never grown myself but it was an amazing smoke in both cases.

I've never seen a bad review for it. Has an excellent reputation I should get some, but my cart is fuller than I can afford over a few months even lol...

First of all, I wanted to chime in and second the recommendation for C99 by Female Seeds. Even with a bad spider mite problem I still harvested around an ounce of some amazing herb at 52 or 53 days, something like that. Light, uplifting, happy, pretty creative and energetic weed. It has a gradually ascending high as opposed to an instant one, so her strength can be a bit deceiving if you're used to instant highs. Puff in moderation and take your time. The end product tasted like pineapples and buttery hash, smelled like pineapple incense when smoked, and was just lovely daytime weed.

Secondly, I wanted to bump this because my experience with C99 has had me more interested in looking for Sativa hybrids or even pure Sativas as well! Thank you to the people who have chimed in on this thread so far.

How long did it take you to flower (starting from Day 1 of 12/12)? Also how did she handle nutes? Anything she needs more or less of?

Lastly, I've found some strains I'm curious about, and all of which are advertised as Sativa or Sativa hybrid. I've seen a few reports on them here and there, but the information is very few and far between or somewhat outdated. Some I wasn't able to find anything at all. I was wondering if anyone has feedback on:

*Madness from World of Seeds
*Spicy White Devil from Samsara
*Blue Dream from Humboldt Seed Organization
*Laughing Tiger from ACE
*Tutankhamon from Pyramid Seeds

Thanks for the feedback from everyone so far!

Here is a nice strain I am growing as we speak.... Gage Green LA Haze. LA Confidential x Kali Mist crossed to an amazing Afghan Haze.

I'll be starting my test journals on Gage Green's Starlet Kush and Gage's Super Blue Dream x Freedom Baby this week. I am popping them as we speak. Starlet Kush is Pure Kush x Joseph OG. Super Blue Dream x Freedom Baby is DJ Short's Blueberry cut x Shantibaba's Super Silver Haze crossed with Gage's Harlequin x Joseph OG. The Freedom Baby is a very high CBD strain. Starlet Kush is a scissor ruining strain that is excellent for it's calming effects and insomnia. I am expecting some serious dank with these genetics.

I ran a tut freebee a couple years ago, it is fire. It has a sativa leaning buzz but will hit the body also, very enjoyable high. The issue with the freebee is it was a bit of a runt, was slow to veg. I got about 1/2 an ounce off her in soil off to the side, so never had center stage under the light. The buds were very dense, I'd give a 9 out of 10 on potency.

I'm running 3 tuts (bought some more!!) now they are in 3 weeks into flower, it will probably go 9 weeks. These were way more vigourous, 2 of them look about 50/50 sativa/inica. The other is a little bit more Sativa influenced.

I see you mentioned World of Seeds Madness but I did grow their Space. I think Space is one you might like. It had a very pleasant high, not a super potent high but good solid potency. I have never taken anti-depressants but if I did I would hope they work like Space, it was almost like instant happiness. It also shows amber trichs by week 7. The bad, it will grow big and hog up space under the light. I'm thinking of ordering them again and training them to see if I can make it share with others lol. I usually will just top a plant once the first time I run it because I want to see what it looks like the first time around, then decide how to proceed on subsequent runs.

Madness is my favorite, it's short, very easy to grow, doesn't smell, clean high. I'm currently trying to make my own Madness because they only sell fem.

satori is a real winner, stays low, killer sativa high
c99 is one of the best things ever, the real deal pineapple pheno is one of my favorite smokes, period. for your needs i'd look into chucky's bride from e$cob@r.
durban poison is a pure african sativa that finishes fast and stays low.
chocolope is dank for sure, i just wish dna would drop regs of it again., some of the beat phenos are a little finicky, but thats the chocolate thai for ya.
the key is LST, or topping, but i prefer LST, bending the top couple branches to an even height can produce some wonderful results. also, remember that you should be flowering clones of these soon enough, which makes height control a snap.

You have any pics of C99? I've seen her mentioned at least 10 times since yesterday, and curiosity is killing the cat. I don't google images, I prefer to see REAL grows so I know it's not photoshopped or anything :)
