Sannies Killing Fields or Madonna?

G'day

I need some help choosing a strain.

I was gonna grow nl5xhaze(sensi) since a mate has a few spare beans, but wanted something with colour so was looking at killing fields or madonna.

Does anybody know if either of these, or a similar colourful hybrid, would have similar effects to nl5xhaze?

Cheers

what specific effects are you referencing? i have never smoked that hybrid but, i have had tons of experience with each on it's own. regardless, just get both. they both are world class smoke, some of the best. besides anything from sannie is fire!

Ive heard great things about killing fields, personally I would go with KF, but then again madonna is also a good one, just heard it stinks a lot, even in veg.

Kf just takes a while to finish.

Thanks guys

I'm looking for a nice hybrid which combines a nice high (trippy if possible) with body stone - I'd like as strong as possible, this wont be a functional day smoke, but a movie watching, chilling by the beach smoke.

I'm growing g13xhp for my indica, go to sleep, weed. Kali mist for my sativa, functional day smoke.
I'd like a non functioning trippy mix of the 2, which is why I was/may grow nl5xhaze cause hear thats what it is, but would love a bit of colour in the garden.

I'd grow all 6, but only have enough space for 3 total and i'm already def on g13hp and km.

I figure if i grow the kf and let it ripen to at least 50/50 amber/cloudy I should have a good representation - just looking for some confirmation or alternatives.

i grew out both. both are fire. madonna is faster but, the green pheno of killing fields is just as fast and tastier. keeping it short both have the qualities your looking for. get both

thanks dirtyshawa.

i don't need speed, but would love the colour. did you get the purp pheno of kf? was it just as strong? how was the taste?

purple and green pheno. the green pheno is stronger and fruitier with more diesel smell and taste. the purple pheno's i had were all strong and fruity as fuck. the green pheno is faster and has more pronounced characteristics in smell and flavor. think unbelievably fruity lip smacking pinesol dank with a sativa dominate high in both phenos. can't go wrong with kf, it's some of the best.

before madonna came out. i saw a picture of one of the parents of madonna, THE ONE. that was the most colorful and mouth watering looking bud i ever saw anywhere. i'll see if i can find it purple yellow orange pink. really so crazy looking herb, so, i had to get it when i came in seed form. madonna is definitely something you want. it will blow you away just like kf

here's a pic of one of the plants. i first saw the bud shots on icmag before sannie started taking all the business. i can't find them now but, if you look at the plant you can sell how colorful the buds will be.

hydgrow: thanks for the link, if i end up getting kf may get the the fem.

dirtyshawa: if you had to choose 1 of the 2 which would it be? did you get much colour in the madonna?

My friend just finished Madonna ( I have mine still in veg) and its great smoke and tastes/smells great but it knocks me the f*** out. So if your looking for a more social high I would go for the Killing Fields.
Edit:
BTW he is growing with CO2 and has higher temps then I would so there was not much color in his Madonna.

i think mcnasty hit it right on the head. but if you had to ask me i'd say both but, if your looking for instant bag appeal (both get frosty as the snowman) i'd go with kf simply because, you will have purple herb and people who have never seen it will go nuts for it........NUTS

Hello,

I'm just curious, why has your selection been narrowed down to just those two strains?

The reason I ask is because even though I've heard of those strains, they aren't widely grown, from what I can deduce.

I could understand if you were a seasoned grower(and maybe you are) who's bored with the traditional strains. If that's not the case and you just want to grow something that's different from what you've been smoking, there's a lot easier strains to grow that will produce top shelf buds.

Speaking from experience, I've committed the time to growing strains that sound cool and have nice example pics, but weren't common strains, and as a result, ended up with hermies, fucked up buds, weak potency, stretchy bitches, the list goes on.

Strains like these, it's a hit and miss if you get good beans, nothing consistant about them.

Maybe if you actually searched Sannies name here, you would see that every single review of his gear and service has been positive...I don't know of ANYONE who is at all dissatisfied with any of Sannies strains.

Matter of fact, I'm about to make another order. Chemdawg x Herijuana, mmm lawdy that's gonna be wicked strong.

Oh ya, you see tons of people posting finished grows from Sannies here all the time, don't you?

I doubt you if you saw one growing you'd be like, "Oh, is that a feminized madona from Sannies?" so I'd say good or not, its lesser known.

Did I say, sannies is bad, stay away! ?

All I did was ask a question, why he's choosing those strains.

I only have room to grow 3 plants and wanted as much variety as possible so wanted a pure indica, a pure sativa (or close to) and a nice hybrid.

Originally I had decided to grow g13hp as an indica, nl5xhaze for hybrid and kali mist for sativa so that I could experience and provide as much of an indication of what ganj offers in taste, smell and most importantly effect.

Up until i grew snow white I had never had anything but what i figure was an indica dominant shit weed and never realised there were different types of highs and tastes, and am still yet to try a propper sativa.

I am growing for myself and a mate so in the end bag appeal isn't important, but nobody wants to smoke ugly bud any more then they want to eat ugly food - you will if it tastes good and filling, or your starving, but its always better if it looks appetizing as well. And nothing looks more appetizing then purple bud covered in trichs.

Because of reviews I'm pretty locked in on KM and g13hp.
Originally I was going to grow kf next to the km and just got some good advice from sannie about seed selection, growing etc.
When I emailed sannie again and asked about a suitable replacement for nl5xhaze with purps he suggested madonna or kf. I am yet to find a bad word said about him or his genetics so I figured I should give something of his a go just because he was really helpful and seems to be a good guy, gets good reviews, and besides time its not much money to waste - and any grow is good experience.

I already have the nl5xhaze beans. So when I've decided on what my no.3 will be, i'll get a mate to grow the nlh and i'll grow the purps, if the purps ends up shit, i'll take a clone from my mate and go from there.

I am open to suggestion. My requirements are purple or blue, with a nice mix of high and stone, but as non functional as possible. I was also looking at bubba kush from dr greenthumb, snowcap romulan from reserva privada.

I will be popping 3 seeds as soon as my g13 is done.

Although I'm not overly experienced (3 grows, soon 5) most of my problems have been from not having a nutrient meter. I'm not far away from diesel ryder harvest and 3 weeks into flower of g13hp and its been smooth as. Just doing lucas formula which has made over feeding pretty difficult and haven't had to adjust ph once - its getting annoying checking because its always in range.

Send your suggestions through always appreciate strain advice.

I'll probably go for the kf, its just the 'sativa dominant' label thats holding me back, since km is really sativa dominant and don't want to get something which is pretty much the same effects just with colour.
