it's not hard to take a pic of your meter... you took pics of your plants right? from what your saying isn't what I'm seeing... far as water goes city tap water isn't good for deep water culture... use bottled r.o. and buy some cal-mag.. buy a pr oper ph. pen meter.. not a bullshit soil tester.. be truthful and detailed on your grow and environment .. I'm done trying to help you.. your plants are fucked.. good luck on your grow ...

Those plants are barely big enough to be nuted in my opinion. More so in soil youve grown in (which is not a sin if you are smart). Take a look at them man they are roasted. 20-20-20 on a seedling :( prob full strength too

Alaskan Fish Fertiliser(5-1-1) is what I'm using on the soil my hydro is the 20-20-20 All Purpose and on both plants I'm using 1/4 strength and my hydro is 500ppm none of my plants are burning they are starving they can't uptake the nutrients I provided

flush the plants with ph. adjusted water.. p.h. of 6.5 with some Epsom salt... 1tablespoon per gallon... if your in real soil you shouldn't have to do any ph adjusting .. brand name soil is ph buffered .. get a real ph test kit .. General hydroponics makes a cheap kit.. test the run off of the water from the soil.. not the soil it's self ..

testing the run off will just tell you the ph of the run off and nothing more a soil meter is definitely the way to go for checking the ph of your soil

Get a better balanced nutrient to feed them, get some microbes in that dirt. You have a few deficiencys mg p k. Your feeding it a 5 1 1 a better ratio imo would be a 6 3 4 and get some microbes in that dirt other than hydroguard for dirt. Raise the light up slow everything down and let the plant recover. Proper balanced nutrition. Microbes. proper lighting ,spectrum and intensity Proper watering not over not under. The growmore product will dissolve the dead roots but it wont be available to your plant without the microbes. Dont focus on ph run off. Feed at a ph of 6.5. Get some better microbes for your dirt.
