Yes, I grow my own salvia and gave leaves to friends... they all tripped off of homegrown

don't get seeds because most likely they are fake, or not viable because salvia is mainly propagated from cuttings

For one thing i gotta say growing it aint that bad of an idea, there is one problem though salvia only grow in certain higher dry climates. The majority of it that is in the USA is freom the Sierra something Mountains in mexico, so finding a live plant to clone would be very hard. Secondly it is impossible to get the seeds, well almost impossible, on one mexican website they were priced at 2,500 dollars american for ten seeds with a 33% germination rate. The reason the seeds cost so much is because of the way the salvia farmers grow it, they want the females much like we do for weed. They clone and clone a bunch of them and plant them on the sides of mountains. The male plants are normally harder to find. They are even hard to grow in that region of mexico, so unless you plan on growing a shit load of it, it would be more worth your while to just grin and bare it at your local head shop

damn.... well if seeds are selling 2500$ for 10 seeds, dont you think some of the farmers might start to pollinate there plants to sell for seeds. Seems like they would get alot more money if they did that yakno?
