Saliva drug test.

Question for any one who has taken one or knows about them.

I can understand that a Urine test can find positive THC results up to 30 days.

Im applying for a job that administers a salivia test where they swab your mouth then place some kind of meter to hold under your tongue for 10 minutes.

I wiki'ed saliva test and cannabis. It says that those type of test are to show frequency of drug use. So it may show negative if no use within 7 days.

Please chime in I can wait another week before applying. Im on smoke Hiatus anyways started yesterday.

I've heard from numerous sources that the mouth swab test for cannabis will only test positive if you've smoked in the last 3 days.

I would assume they are testing the epithelial cells in your mouth, those get replaced very frequently.

(I typed a whole reply thinking you were asking about salvia tests. Damn it. Btw, I don't know if they can test for salvia.....unrelated)

whats the difference, swab or the salivia machine? IDK what its called. My girl just told me when you get the job they place a machine under your tongue for like ten minutes.

If the contraption looks like a pregnancy test, it's likely just a swap. I don't know what else it could be. I would assume it's the same. I would wait for more replies though.

I smoked before a cotton swap oral DT and passed it. I tried not to soak the cotton with my spit and I chewed big red prior to taking it thinking the cinnamon would alter the results... I got the job

Oral drugs tests are easy to get around. Just dont smoke for a week or so. Thc only stays in your blood for 18-24 hours and thats what they are testing basically, your blood.

LOL I was thinking of "pulling a dip" before taking it. I figured if that shit rots your teeth, it could also fuck up a swab test. I 'm afraid Id puke allover the place if I swallowed some.

Dude the high on that stuff looks ridiculous. Where was that when I was 15?
I ate mushrooms last summer and thought I was too old for that. My face hurt for days from grinning so much.

I smoked that crap back when i first started smoking... It was like 20 bucks for a half ounce. i only smoked it once becuase it sucked. ..Weed or nothing is what i go by nowadays

So the consensus is about a week on the swab test.

ive done it the day after which was 18 hours ago before i had smoked... thc only stays in your blood for 18-24 hours unlike alcohol which can stay up to 48 hours. I passed my oral swab test

Sweet. thanks man, Im waiting on one more job to call me back before I apply for the one that will test me. I'd rather get the other cause they never test.

This whole testing for thc is ridiculous. They should test for alcohol as far as Im concerned. I think its on the same level. Sure drug test to weed out meth heads and heroin addicts but leave cannabis smoker the fuck alone.

Man Im just on a rant. so fucking dumb I have to give up something so harmless. I mean I have to look for work that doesnt do randoms just for the fact what I might do after work.

I guess thats why they think pot heads are stupid. They choose to work marginal jobs so they can enjoy themselves. Im skilled in office work and no one can tell my lifestyle for the simple fact i choose not to share my life with tight wad conservatives. these ridiculous laws need to change already.
