Posting a pic would help a lot. I would imagine it's most likely either over or under-watering based on it happening overnight in soil.

Looks like under watering. I stick my finger into the soil to a depth of about 2 inches to test for moisture. If you are using pots with good drainage, It should not matter if you over water, as any excess will drain out the bottom.

I usually pick up my pots to figure out if they need water or not. They usually like to be nearly completely dry before I water again.

On another note, which I may be way off on... The structure of those plants @ the tops look kinda like male flowers to me.

I agree there is something funny looking about this plant...could you get a closer up shot of a branch? or do you not care that it could be male?

yeah, do that. Just of the tops. Like I said, I may be wrong due to the distance of the original pic.

this is a male if this is ur only plant let it grow but if you have another get rid of it even tho it would have been pollenated by now. I havent had a male yet but they can grow buds still its still smoke

No, males don't grow buds. They just grow flowers that don't develop trichs. Maybe the leaves do with some awesome genetics, but not to my knowledge.

The pics are a bit blurry but I would say with 98% confidence that that is a male. A healthy plant, but a male none the less. Sorry man :[

I have one other one ......will the male hurt that
Depends on how close they are. If there is a female then the male will pollinate it and cause it to create seeds. If it makes seeds then you get seedy bud and less resin production. So yeah, it would 'hurt' it in that way. I would get rid of the male unless you are looking to make some seeds.

EDIT: on your other plant it looks to be too early for it to be pollinated. In the first pic it looks like there are a couple pistils towards the top which would mean it is a female. I would say get rid of your male asap. Attached is a female vs male photo to help with sexing since you will be able to see the plant better than us.
