Sadie Ladies New Grow

3 Clones-Blue Dream
150qt Cooler Res
600w MH/HPS Cooltube
35w air pump- 6-6"airstones
Can Fan RS6 with New Can Filter 50
4x4x7 Lighthouse Hydro Grow tent
4x4 scrog screen ready to be attached
Advanced Nutrients 3 part

So...as usual things have not started out the way I would have liked. I picked up my clones today and found out they were not rooted at all. No roots what so ever. Besides that they look nice (one has some slight yellowing.)

This is my first grow in almost two years and I was not at all prepared to deal with rooting cuttings. I re-cut the bottom of the clones and dipped each in cloning solution. I then put them back into the RW cubes which were moist with PH'd water. The cubes were then placed into the DWC under two CFL's. I doubt turning the 600w on at this point would be smart considering these ladies have no roots.

I am trying to make the tent as hospitable to their new root growth as possible. Currently temps are sitting around 63f and humidity with the humidifier going is at 67%. I have the stones going in the res just to keep the oxygen coming to the bottom of the RW cubes. Each plant is also covered in a dome ( aka ice cream tub.) Not sure if the dome's are needed though considering they are in a grow tent and the humidity in the tent is at 65%.

Any tips or suggestions on getting these rooting asap would be greatly appreciated.

I still have a little work to get the tent cleaned up and the clear hoses taped black. I will take pictures of the whole set up as well as updates on the ladies tomorrow after work. I just got the ventilation running into the chimney from the basement and it is working beautifully. I got really lucky and found an old access port from an old furnace that I tapped into!

That's what I'm thinking-hopefully 6-9 days and things will be back on track. Any idea's on the necessity of the dome's? I will probably run a couple tests for a few hours tomorrow after work and see how they react to having it on vs off.

Would the humidity be higher inside the "dome's" which are over the plants above the bubbles, or outside of the "dome's" but in the tent with the humidifier going to 67%.

In other words is the humidity in the "dome" the same, higher or lower than the humidity inside the tent itself?

Well things are looking good after their first night in the tent. When I opened it up this morning temps were at 65f and humidity was at 81%! Would love to know everyone's opinion on the nessecity of the domes??

Hello sadielady....

I don't use domes at all....I have some clones going now I don't use rock wool... but I know a lot of people on here do....My clones are in a shop temps are 58-64f.....RH-50-70%...

It took 9-10 days for roots to start growing after that they took off...I have never used a dome ever...but I live in a place were it rains a lot...friends of mine have had mold and I haven't...They were useing a dome...

Hi Nitro!!

I am in what is essentailly the desert but with the humidifier going in the tent I have a pretty high % and I am starting to think the dome's are unnecessary. I hadn't even considered it being too humid and the possibility of that growing mold. Thanks for the input!!

Good luck with your grow...I will be watching...

Took the dome's off of the clones about an hour ago. The humidity in the tent is at 82% and I don't think they are necessary. Would love to get the 600 turned on soon but I don't think these girls will have roots for a few days at least.

Put a small space heater blowing into the tent to raise the temp. When I came back ten minutes later my temps were at 74 and humidity was 96%-glad I didn't leave and check when I got home!

Well...I had to leave town for almost a week unexpectedly and wasn't prepared to leave clones that had no roots...I came home and they were not doing well at all. 1st things first I called the grower and had him cut me three new clones and get them rooting. Now I have to wait another week or so for those. In the mean time I have these mutated, still not rooted but living clones which were essentially free because I am getting 3 new ones. I put them into my bubble cloner a couple days ago and they are starting to root already!

My question is-what does everyone think I should do about the damage to the leaves and new growth. Should I trim it? Leave it until it roots completely and let it die off?

Here are some pictures. I have all three in the bubble cloner cooler. They have twisted and curled leaves, including some of the newest growth that they had when I picked them up. Total yellowing and some shriveling of the initial fan leaves. A couple of the smaller leaves have dark discolored edges. Things haven't changed on the top side of the cloner since I moved them in and have been back at home, though they have begun to show root bumps of varying degrees.

What do you think I should do, if anything, to the damaged growth and fan leaves.

I've had clones that looked much worse than that and they ended up fine.. I would just let them be and let them grow. they will be fine

Thanks Flo! I didn't add anything when I took them from the cloner and RW cubes they were in and put them into the bubble cooler. At that point I knew I had more clones on the way and just wanted to throw them in the bubbler and forget about them. I then started digging around the house and realized I have all the old makings of some experiment 5 gal bucket grows-so I have decided to save these and I will just let them grow out in a different room and anything I get will be an added bonus!

I can't seem to remember what I updated my thread within the last month which would have been lost in the hack... SO I will just throw up some current pictures of what's in the flowering tent! I have 3 5gal buckets, one of which has two girls in it, so 4 plants total. They are only in their first week of flower! The un-vo bucket is a fucking bush that started as a side project but now I have high hopes for it's output!

The not pictured veg tent has three more girls and and 8 little almost rooted clones! Hoping to have a decently consistent perpetual starting with this round.
