Hey could someone help me out here? I am getting rust spots starting in leaves and eventually necrosis of the middle to tip of leaf and yellowing leaves on the bottom as well as the ones rusting turn yellow also but it is only happening to 2 resevoirs the other 2 are fine and everything as far as nutes and ph are the same till 2 days ago i drained half the water from those 2 w/problems and added just ro water back to lighten up the nutes and they went down to about 600 ppm from about 850ppm and leaves are still spotting rust spots and turning yellow??? Please help, i want to try and save them...should i flush completely and start over? I am 3 and a half weeks into flowering from clones.

sounds like an mg deficiency but really need pics

yeah, sorry about that, it usually starts with little rust spots then the leave goes yellow and then necrosis patches in middle of leaf as well as edges, and all bottom leaves (small ones) are pure yellow and it seems to affect the oldest leaves of the plant, nutes r to low for it to be over nuting...u think
thanx immensly for ur help

do they look like this?
no, they are not like that....there is more yellowing and the leaves usually get a large dead spot about middle ways or more towards the tip , starting tho with spots all over the leaf and then yellowing and rusting and then dying and all the small older bottom leaves are solid yellow. That picture looks like nute overkill, is it? It seems to be more at the edges of the plant, huh ...please let me know what you think , and i will try and get some pics, thanx

That picture is classic K deficiency. The large necrotic spots spreading from the middle sounds more like P deficiency to me but with the rust spots too it could well be both mg and P problems. What strain are you growing? Nute burn can look a lot like p deficiency and I have had several strains that would burn at 300ppm, even with organics. Pics would help a lot bro.

The strain i have is "supergirl" from amsterdam....WOW MY LAST ONE THE PPM WAS ABOUT 1500??? DO U REALLY THINK MY NUTES WOULD BE TO HIGH AT 800-1000 PPM PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW UR OPINIONS
THANX ..DR.JAYNE

Did u see the pics? And the strain is (supergirl) and last crop had the ppm's up to 1500 ppm...i had them at about 500 ppm and then raised it up to around 800-950 ppm using gh flora series undercutting the lucas formula by a 1/3 versus the full 10 &15 measurements on the flora micro and bloom. I'm thinking it is lacking cause of all the yellow leaves on the bottom and the real light green tint the plant is compared to the ones around it and as i said the leaves on bottom are jusdt turning all yellow....what do ya think?

To clarify, i was referring to the pics posted by chickenphish. For whatever reason I can't see the ones posted by drjayne. I don't grow in hydro so I cant really comment on proper ppm. From your description it sounds like P or mg deficiency or both. I had 2 sadhu plants that were showing both. They had the same symptoms you're describing, rust spots, necrotic patches, etc. I gave em some Grow Big at 40% strength, about 400ppm, and it fixed the P deficiency but the mg is still locked out due to ph issues and will require a foliar treatment. I noticed that the mg spots will form the same necrotic blotches as P deficiency will just not nearly as fast. P deficiency, in my experience at least, usually starts as a single spot or two that just spreads instead of many little spots that eventually merge. This is the best way I've found to differentiate the two but the more I read this thread the more I think it's just mg deficiency but without being able to see the pics please don't take this as anything more than an educated guess. If you had better luck at a higher ppm last time maybe you should ust raise the ppm to 1000 and see what happens.

I'm the wrong person to ask. I do soil and hydro is a little different. I have a strain that will burn at 250ppm nutes but thats rare in my experience. Usually it's best to ask about a strains nute tolerance from people on here who have experience before starting.

that link for the pics doesnt work. post em up again so we can help. 1500 is way high, for me anyways, but what u r describing does soend like deficiency

yes, am familiar. that looks like a classic mg deficiency but I also see some signs of possible nuteburn. good chance with those high ppms that something is loking out the mg. I would back off the nutes down to 1000 ppms and add some hydrated lime to your soil or fine dolomite lime for the mg. you can also use epsom salts. overall they look pretty good and a small mg problem is not usually detrimental but something you want to get control over
