Today President Obama will sign the legislation known as the Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014. This legislation enables the US to now provide "Lethal Aid" to Ukraine, in other words, give them tanks, bombs, aircraft, missiles i.e. arm them to the teeth and beginning reeducation of the Ukrainian citizen on how evil the Russian empire is.

But here is something else many people don't know. Russia has been selling its oil for Gold, although they will accept US Dollars, they turn around and purchase more gold with those dollars.

Amazingly enough, when the great ruble devaluation happened recently, Russia's gold stockpile gained in ruble value even more than the ruble lost in international value.

Other countries that have tried selling gold for anything other than US Dollars are Libya, Iran, Iraq.

Seems that when another country decides to no longer use the dollar in trade, we all of a sudden have to go to war with it because of how "Evil" they all of a sudden are. All sorts of shit flying around waiting to stick to something then.


It's beginning to look a lot like MOAR war.

maybe the dollar will collapse, all your gold will actually be worth something, and you can stop taking farmer welfare checks.

Pretty sure they don't need reeducation on that matter.

But good news.

Would have been better if the allies would have walked on to moscow and build the wall more to the east instead of across germany... but better late than never...

Switzerland is also making a move to return to a gold backed currency. America will float the dollar, and lower oil prices to keep international interest with the dollar

I do not think it will affect the oil trade.

The first idea of erecting a wall between Ukraine and Russia gave the oligarch and the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky in June 2014.

The project for the construction of the wall length of 1920 kilometers and the cost of 100 million euros is already in government. Kolomoysky argued that the structure can be build in just six months.

Half a year has passed, but no walls and no money.

Kolomoysky is suspected of involvement in an accident Boeing MH17, shot down over Ukraine.

It's worth it, and the time is right. Oil is cheap now, there's plenty without russia plus Obama can make Saudi Arabia increase oil production easily.

Where did you get that info, russian state tv? Is that also where they call it an "accident"? That's weird though, I thought the russians were told the ukranian separatists were fascists, but he's jewish. :?

Have you ever played Risk? Remember when there are three strong players that just keep building up... at some point one of them gets too strong (europe/germany), so the others (US+Russia) team up and wipe out the threat. That leaves two players. Time to finish the game instead of this endless stacking of armies. Cool that all those americans and canadians came to fight but they didn't finish the job... Same thing in Korea. They forgot to move on north and liberate china and russia again.

lol its about surrounding potential volatility with u.s interests and thus having controls on trade routes into and out of these countries. Croatia and its sea access, is important for Russian imports. The Berlin wall was for Russian security. When the wall came down, USSR was broken down and agreement was made, not to interfere with Russia. The US has broken this treaty. Amongst a few others.

Not interfere? Like letting them make a mess of east europe and asia at all cost? It's ok for the good guys to break an agreement with the bad guys if it's for a better world.

The berlin wall was to keep people in, not out. We need one of those again. In Israel they get it.

Ukraine is not much better, Poland is getting there but pretty much every thing between Germany and Japan is one big shit hole. It's basically where western civilization ends. I think the US should treat the Russians the same way as the "indians", put them in reservations rather than force western standards on them. Plenty of space in Russia. And of course again build walls around those reservations. Maybe let you run a few casinos.

WWII. It was never finished. And that's caused a whole lot of misery over the past decades. The world sort of got stuck in rebuilding after WWII, but it's not game over yet. There are still bad guys to be dealt with. Without Russia no China as it is, perhaps the UN can work then.
