Runts catching up to stronger seedlings

Popped four seeds, one had a long tap root while the other three just barely popped.

The long tap root seed and one other broke the surface the first day with the shell stuck to them.

The other two had the shell stuck to them below the surface so I removed the top layer of coco and removed the shell.

Those two looked noticeably weaker with bent stems and tiny pale codyledons just laying on the ground.

Little by little they started catching up to the stronger seedlings until they had the same amount of growth.

It's week 2 and I can't tell the difference between them apart from the stems.

How can this happen? The first few days they were so weak then all the sudden they started getting exactly like the stronger ones.

Only difference is the one that had the long tap root is a bit more compact with a straight stem. Has anyone had any experiences like this and know why it happens? Thanks

ever watch siblings grow? some are short stupid idiots while the sister may be a smart tall girl. c'mon man, this is too easy.
When parent mate genes are passed on, shared even. A short guy mating with a tall girl right....geesh

Another member who failed to complete any hort. education

as seeds don't have tap roots I'm the foreigner here even I know basic latinized botany

unless yo mean the Radicle ...?

I'll give the noob credit for the cotleydons and attempting cococ

rather than the 'baby leaves' so apparent here these days

5 minutes on youtube 'plant hormones' will do you well

good luck
