Oh, did you do all the wiring yourself for the cfls? I did some wiring similar to this, I wired eight cfls in parallel to an extension cord, that was a pain in the ass. That was before I got my HID.
Yep - I did it the same way, wired in parallel, jumper wires in between, 10ft extension cord for the plug end.

I have two 400w HPS lights thanks - and MH bulbs to go with 'em. I choose to use CFL's in my vegging closet because A) I like the way they veg my plants, and B) there would be a heat issue in my closet with an HID light.

Got the first batch at Wal-Mart for 1.50, then found 'em at Everything's A Dollar for a buck, lol. Drilled about eight holes in the bottom for drainage, added the cheap plastic tray and bam - 3 gal planters!
Yep you got it - HTG special.

Lol awesome work. You sound like me, I got my 5 gallon buckets "free" from work and drilled holes in the bottom. Then found the 400w for cheap as hell on HTG, lol. Bud on a budget FTW! lol

lol Pretty much. Funny how that budget keeps stretching. I'm doing perpetual grow, thus far I've got the first three grows planted (and the Trainwreck here is the first "real" strain), got seeds coming for the next two grows, all the equipment to keep going except soil (and better nutes), well ok still need some harvest stuff, still haven't made it to my first harvest, and already spent a little over $1000.00 . Now THAT is depressing. lolbongsmilie

Ahh, don't worry about it, it will pay off in the end big timebongsmilie.

Yeah I wish I had the space for a perpetual grow.

You start out like well this is gonna cost me a few hundred bucks for this, then you realize you need all this other unforeseen stuff, then it really adds up. Initial investment is the worst part.

Oh and - wonders will never cease - yesterday I find out the hubby is actually jealous of the time I spend on my girls. What is that? Sheer craziness?:-?

Wow thats.... strange. Jealous of a plant lol, sorry but it's funny.
Yeah I kinda thought so too. Seen it on the forum, usually guys sayin their girlfriend/wife was jealous, didn't really think it could be real. Weird, huh?
