Rotten molases?

gave it molases a few days ago and used the same water/molases mixture from last time, but after i was done i noticed the water smelled like sour shit and so did the soil.

will it fuck my plant up

how much were you using dude?

if it isn't an organic grow flush it with ph'd water and like a tsp of peroxide to kill the funk. organic use plain ph'd water.

just a teaspoon of molases and it was sitting in the water container for a few days

ive had the same but chose not to give it to them, make fresh everytime, especially when stored close to setup. ie..warm.. did it look like chinese egg soup?

the sitting for a few days is what caused it. I doubt that there is anything wrong with the molasses

yea, the molasses itself smells alright.

what you have is a tea that went anaerobic from lack of oxygen
if you keep it shaken(or use a bubbler), the tea stays aerobic, i.e aerobic bacteria
anaerobic might cause problems, but results seem to vary quite a bit
but what's done is done, if your plant is still looking good, probably all right

flush gently and wait brother... should be fine.

Anyone know if this shit will be safe to smoke once its done. Since you said anarobic bacteria, i heard that shit can kill you
