Rosin Press

Curious if anyone has used a Rosin press for making concentrates. I saw one for around $500 or so. It has a hand press though, the fully pneumatic one was like $1300 and required an air hose.

I'm in between crops right now and deciding if I should go with a resin and THC heavy plant this go around. Can't help but feel that the price of bud is going to drop, especially here in CA. Figure making a killer concentrate would be a nice option to have. Of course if the Rosin press sucks, then that's a no go. Don't feel like using Butane and blowing myself up, which I probably would.

Made my 2 ton press for about $120. I imagine you could put together a low end 20 ton for $400ish. A press, heating elements and some plates are all you need, and a friend with a welder!

PS - try making Qwiso, pretty cheap and safe, great flavor. Easy.

Holy shit
Another rosin press thread. There's more rosin threads than how much is my plant going to yield. Lol

Harbor freight 20 ton for 240.00 is your best bang for your buck. Add 20.00 for upgraded grade 10 hardware, some plates and a pid controller, baggies, parchment paper, and your all set. I just upgraded from the 3x5 plates to the 4x7 plates from levi @ low temp plates.

I haven't bought my plates yet. Although I sounds like I'll be wanting the 4X7 plates too I would be interested in renting or buying your 3X5 plates to try out my exact same system.
