Roots in Boiling Water ?

I remember that "boil the roots" story from the 70's as well.

Just know it only works to increase potency if you then take the plant and shove it into a cooler full of dried ice until the ice is gone. Then, following that procedure, you must dig a hole and bury the weed for a couple of months to cure it.

Anyone who was around back then knows that such processes are what they did to all of the Thai Sticks ...just before spraying them with opium, of course.

I've heard thos one before. From a "carpenter" named tornado, except he spelled it tornatoe. Because he's retarded. Guy drove across my buddy lane because he wouldn't sell him a bag when he had company over lol.

Anyways, I'm chopping a plant Sunday. I hate this plant. It sucks, it smells bad, it grows like shit. I would love to boil the shit out of the root ball. Do I leave the roots on after?
Boiling the roots is probably the reason why Tornato was buying weed.

hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has tried this method when i was in Mexico i met a guy who i became great friends with who was a massive grower and seller (how i met him from buying) well his shit was DANK and i asked him how he grew like any secrets and he told me just before he would harvest a plant he would drop it up to the roots i boiling water and take it out again quick he said that it makes all the nutes and goodness from the stem shoot out into the Buds/Leaves because of the shock = Danker Stuff

just wondering if Legit and if anyone has tried ?
This is b/s. I’ve heard the same story with ice water on the roots. That’s b/s too.
Your Mexican mate was probably telling tall tales to ‘sell’ his weed to you. Bet you thought you were paying top dollar for the ‘secret’ dank and you got a great deal?
Everyone in this game gets conned with a b/s story from time to time.
Peeps had me believing that male roots touching female roots turned the females to male! That was the b/s bro-science that went around my parts 30 years ago.

My mums friend used to be a big time grower/distributor and he said the same thing. He said the shock pushes all the resin into the flowers and that you can actually watch more trichomes form in front of your eyes
Your mum's friend is an idiot. But don't let that stop him from joining RIU and posting a step by step with pics of him boiling plants. The community reaction to this would definitely make my day.

Yep, I'm not doing all that nonsense

Seems impractical for a large grow-
I have also heard of ice on top and let it melt in- so both are likely bro science- but experimentation is the mother of invention

i was taught to stick the roots in boiling water when taught growing from mexican grass seeds (brick) all those years ago, but one of the other growers said he was full of shit, and it made no differance to the weed strength anyway.
someone should do a brosciance book for the educated lol

I may be bias on this- it is dangerous
I have 3rd degree burn scars on my arm and chest from boiling water when I was 2 years old
Mom had just put the tea pot down and I pulled the table cloth and took a direct hit- my skin instantly melted and my mom was smart enough in that traumatic moment to tear my shirt off-
I still have the impression of thermal texture lon my forearm and melted looking skin on my bicep-
I also would pull up my sleeve and chase the girls in 1st grade- got to work with what you got

but the question is did you produce more trichomes after this or not?
