roots exposed to light...

so, i have noticed that her roots were growing, along the sides of the pot
she's in a clear tubaware pot & i could see her roots.. i think it was exposed for 3 days MAX
i just covered the sides up.. can she get root rot? within that 3 day period?
or will she be fine, now that i have covered it up? i want to prevent it, before it happens..

the roots were thick white, before i covered them
yeah, i never noticed them, growing along the sides
