You know, I know there are products that are supposed to really help your roots take off, but I'm just not sure they are necessary. I mean, if you know a strain has troubles taking off, then I would say yes, but most of the time, I really don't think the rooting compounds really help.

And sometimes, I think people get a little overzealous with rooting compounds, stifling the roots before they can really get into the soil or other growing medium.

I would use the compound with caution and very sparingly. Most of the time, nutes and your growing methods are typically all that you need to get a plant going.

Aye Everybody> Let me start off by apologizing for posting this thread on another thread> really I apologize But I have an serious issue and need to know what can be done>Also I cant figure out how to start a new thread. I have 3 plants that are about 1 1/2 weeks old, 1 cheese (that out grew the other 2) 1 GDP & Heavy duty fruity. I have a flow system set up with a 250w MH the light goes on at 5pm and off at 10am. I water 2times daily for 12 min. I was cleaning the old nutrients out of my resovor and droped my plants upside down all the rock and everything came out. When I put them back in with replacement rock they seemed fine till this mornin, 2 of them took a nose dive The Heavy and cheese flatlined the cheese looks like the roots and stem r still good but the leaves are possible gonners. This sucks the cheese was commin along very nicely untill my accident what to do?

I use 2 things when i plant my seeds. Mychorhizal fungi and trichoderma.

If you do a little research into them you may find you like the sound of them.

imo, if your goin to grow in soil, just transplant them into quailty soil, they will get all they need...if your growing hydro...phosphorus is the main element responsible for root/seed/bud production...you could simply mist your plants with a light hydro bloom solution (1 ml per/liter) if your really set on attempting to speed up your root production. I've also used a root enhancing product called, "Prop-O-Gator" when I grow in hydro, link >> http://extremegrowing.com/web/content/view/60/78/

I'm using FFOF soil, I just figured the compound might give it a jump start.
