Rooting gel and Seedlings

I was wondering if i could dip freshly germinated seedlings into rooting gel to facilitate faster root growth. Anyone know?

I think it would be better to mix some of your rooting gel with water and water them with it.

Am i wrong or was that directed at the original question?

Freshly germinated seedlings devote most of their energy towards rooting already. Rooting gel doesn't magically make roots grow, it gives instructions to the plant to devote more energy towards growing roots. I wouldn't attempt to tell a fragile young life what it should be doing.
