Root rot is typically caused by chronic over watering & microbes eating your roots because your plants aren't healthy enough to defend themselves.

What kind of grow system are you using? I know that the AeroGarden will get major root rot if you let light get into the reservoir for an extended period of time.

Hmmm, are the pots transparent. Maybe something homemade like a 2 liter soda bottle or something? Cover them with black duct tape.

Do you have good drainage on them? Do they have some sort of removeable base or something so the excess water can drain out. .. like a terra cotta pot with a terra cotta plate underneath? Those work well to help the soil to drain properly and also keeps the soil at a good temp unless they're in a lot of direct sunligh.

u will get root rot if you dont have proper drainage in your pot. Make sure their are multiple holes in the bottom and shit so the roots arent sitting in the water/nutrients you are feeding them. you want to see a little runnoff when you're watering.

good luck.
